Re: Important things newbies need to check.
Thanks for all your feedback. I did leave a message with the Kaiser manager yesterday and she got back to me today. Wants to see all my paperwork. So I've been putting it all together with pictures to drop off tomorrow. And I discovered another invoice I hadn't checked thoroughly. I switched from a ...

Important things newbies need to check.
Because of the information and help that I've received from this site I was able to discover a couple of things. I picked up a REMSTAR Plus C-Flex machine from Apria with a constant pressure of 8. I didn't know enough to have any questions. I joined this site and read that I should request copies of...

I am a newbie here. But I would think this thread would be considered spam. Right?

Re: No luck so far!!!
I have found it so difficult in using my mask so far. Its been over two weeks and have barely have any time "clocked" in. I can't afford to lay there awake for hours on end because this is my final long semester (non-traditional student--went back to get degree) and I am under alot of pressure this...

Re: OT - Curious how/why people chose their nickname / Avatar
I've been a scrapper, figuratively and literally......... My avatar is favorite picture from a cruise I took with my kids through the Panama Canal. I've always admired long, lean people--because I am not. Even when I'm thin--I'm short--not long & lean. This particular picture was taken right after ...

Re: Who gave you your sleep apnea diagnosis?
I asked my primary care doctor at Kaiser in Hilo if he could order a sleep study for me as I thought I might have sleep apnea. I was sent to the Sleep Lab in Honolulu for my sleep study.

Re: New to cpap and making life long connections.
Since you're dealing with Kaiser, about the only way you're going to get a data-capable machine is to buy it out-of-pocket. Not so, Wulfman! Kaiser of Northern California (I don't know about other regions) ONLY provides data capable Respironics System One Pro's, autos or Bipaps depending on the res...

Hey, Crazy Cat Lady, Welcome to the forum. I hope your scalp heals quickly. Good luck with cpap and dealing with your insomnia. Re: New to cpap and making life long connections.
Aloha, CCL. I used to live on the Big Island. During that time we were doing infertility treatments and I ran out of a crucial drug that was not available ANYWHERE on the Big Island. I eneded up having to fly to Oahu just to get a vial of this medication--expensive, time consuming, and upsetting, e...

Since you're dealing with Kaiser, about the only way you're going to get a data-capable machine is to buy it out-of-pocket. The "up-side" of that is that you'd have a backup machine for various purposes (like traveling). Hope everything goes well with your cancer. From my own experience, I spent a ...

New to cpap and making life long connections.
I did my sleep study at Kaiser on Feb. 22. They said the results would take about a month. Had to have surgery on March 23 for skin cancer on the scalp. (3rd surgery). So remember hats are good. In my pre-op interview with the anesthesiologist he noticed I had sleep apnea. (That’s how I found out.) ...

Re: Cats and CPAPs just don't mix ...
Love, love, love to hear about so many cat lovers here and all of the rescued cats and dogs. We have 7 at home rescue cats and 4 rescued dogs. At "The Cat House", a separate place about 2 miles from our home, I have about 65 cats and at another house sanctuary across the street from the Cat House I ...
