My goodness Kiralynx you've had a lot of heartache in your life in recent years. Hope those pups are giving you lots of hugs and kisses.

Re: AHI 0.0

Congrats my friend! Years ago my pressure needs were low enough (11) that I could tolerate a pressure that nearly totally eliminated my events. As my needs crept up over the years I'm not willing to use a pressure high enough to accomplish that. These days I think my AHI hangs around 2, though hones...

Re: CPAP for 9 months, still not under 1 AHI

You're in good hands here. I can't add anything on the technical side, just some experiences based on the familiarity with some pieces of this. While 2 arousals per hour from limb movements is considered a negligible amount, it could be an indicator to keep an eye open for movements to potentially b...

Re: New to Cpap and sleep apnea

Tried the link to your sleep study results and got an error message. No need to do anything about that for me, I can just ask you. Were your legs wired during the test to look for limb movements, and if so, what did the report say about it? Just asking because jumpy legs can be a sleep buster.

Re: Will I lose my progress if I temporarily stop CPAP?

For future reference if this is going to come up periodically it might be helpful to have a mouthpiece made. It may not give as good of results as your machine, but could mitigate your events enough to be meaningful. Talk to your sleep doc about it if your CPAP cannot be factored in on these trips. ...

Re: Hi Everyone...Rested Gal, Pugsy...

Well hello - I remember you. I am not around as often as I once was, but stopping through here is like visiting home. Sounds like you've got a lot on your plate. Glad you stopped in. Always good to see a familiar name pop up out of the blue.

Oh my, what a rough few years you have had. Always enjoy when old friends on here stop in and we get a chance to catch up. Just hate to hear of all your losses and struggles. Hope you can get your machine issues resolved and have your other needs met so that you can live your best life. Hugs to you.

Be careful on Craigslist. I sent money for a cpap + shipping last year. You can guess how that story ended.

Re: Tongue Stabilizing Device (TSD) for Mouth Puffing?

In conjunction with training your tongue to achieve a suction seal on the roof of your mouth, if you are able to side sleep, sleep on the edge of your pillow. Usually that causes it compress a bit and the front of your face will tilt slightly downward. This allows gravity to work for you in keeping ...

Re: Weight loss drug trial claiming to reduce Sleep Apnea. Hmmm?

Will be interesting to follow all this. While testing after losing weight showed my OSA just marginally improved, the benefits of losing weight have gone far beyond sleep apnea. Enjoying reading the experiences with the meds. Got a family member on one of them. Back in the mid 2000s when one of the ...

I’m so happy that I’m not a bug

Waiting seventeen years for a hug

And the sex that comes after

It leads straight to disaster!

Not to mention shoes smooshing my mug
Love it!

Speaking of cicadas, searched for the old thread with cicada limericks from maybe 2004 but couldn't find them. Anyhow, If this double brood cicada extravaganza is anything at all like 2004, our family will pay a few bills from selling t-shirts. Being a country girl in my youth, the cicadas don't fre...

Are you congested only at night or is it an all the time thing? If it's only at night you may get different suggestions.

Re: Can a CPAP machine truly revolutionize life?

Usually by the time one gets to a sleep study there have already been efforts to rule out other possible cause for the symptoms. There can be more than one thing contributing to how you feel. That was the case for me. But resolving the sleep apnea was a good starting point. Once one has adjusted to ...
