Re: How often do you replace nasal pillows on your mask?

Hiya! Thanks for the tip! Nothing worse than feeling that little air leak, not to mention the stupid whistling sound when I get rainout with the Swift - keep flicking the thing with my finger to clear the water - but thank God for cpaps! I can't complain... BTW, how much baking soda should I add whe...

Email address for Respironics support?

Hi! I am looking for an email address to get in touch with Respironics support regarding my PR System One REMstar Auto I've hunted around for awhile and the best I can find is a generic "contact a sales rep for info" form. Does anyone have an email address for them I can try? I did find several peop...

Re: REMstar Auto - CPAP mode on - still getting pressure pulses

...so it might be worth trying out a ResMed S9 to see if you have the same problem or not--if you have access to one for a trial period. Unfortunately I've already tried an S9 (see my "LORD HELP ME rant" a few messages up). It was the first new machine I tried since I was currently using a RESMED S...

Is there an 'M' series Auto that doesn't do ANYTHING but blow in CPAP mode?

Do they still make new M's or was it replaced by the S1?

Thanks!

Re: REMstar Auto - CPAP mode on - still getting pressure pulses

Okay, got some PR S1 Pro wave form reports. I have 4 samples, there were 6 pages total. It does seem to score the pressure pulse points BUT they also seem to coincide with events for the most part because as you can see there are long times when there are none. Thanks SO much! You're right about th...

Re: REMstar Auto - CPAP mode on - still getting pressure pulses

are just not used to it Oops, sorry, I wasn't very clear. I mean "not used to the PR S1's pressure pulses". That's how I took what you said - for 5 years I used a fixed-pressure type of unit so I'm definitely used to the no-frills type of devices, and not the "smart" ones...especially the type of b...

Re: REMstar Auto - CPAP mode on - still getting pressure pulses

Not everyone is bothered by the pressure pulses. If I hold my breath I can HEAR them, but I can't feel them. IMH observation, however, it seems like some of the people who have the worst time with the pressure pulses are the people who have used an older model for years and are just not used to it....

Re: REMstar Auto - CPAP mode on - still getting pressure pulses

I checked out all the other "pressure pulse" messages... LORD HAVE MERCY! This is like a bad movie My S7's 5 years old so insurance will get me a new cpap - yay! I get a new S9 - the annoying "chirp" on exhale keeps me and my wife awake. I get a new F&P Icon - it has an annoying "whistle" on exhale ...

Re: REMstar Auto - CPAP mode on - still getting pressure pulses

No. Not normal. Does your software indicate any pressure changes when you set the machine to straght CPAP? No - I checked the data and it appears it was at 14 all night, so the pressure changes I felt/heard must have been the "pulses" That's exactly what it's doing and is what it's supposed to do. ...

REMstar Auto - CPAP mode on - still getting pressure pulses

Hi all! I apologize in advance for the long post below I have a PR System One REMstar Auto When I used it in AUTO mode, just as I was dozing off the unit would send a pressure pulse (to determine OA or CA) and it would bring me fully awake. Once I was asleep these pressure pulses and changes of AUTO...

Re: S9 users please come in,strange noise with the machine

Hey everyone! I've been following this whole "S9 noise/chirp" issue since I got mine 6 months ago. I had previously been using an S7 for 5 years, and it started making a harmonic tone/motor noise that was starting to be more noticeable so I thought it was time to upgrade since insurance will cover o...
