Re: ***WOULD YOU CHANGE PRESSURE WITHOUT DOCTOR'S KNOWLEDGE...??
I was sent home from the Doc's office with my brand new APAP machine set at 5cm straight pressure. I had numerous episodes of waking up trying to breathe at this pressure. Calls to the Doc's office were extremely unhelpful as I was told I need to get used to the equipment and everything would get be...

Re: Sleep disruption - daily naps
I was just going to start a topic on this very issue. I havn't been on cpap that long, but I have been having a similar issue. I can sleep for anywhere from 4-8 hours, but feel extremely tired just a few hours after getting up. I was curious if the naps I had been taking to combat this issue were he...

Re: Will CPAP help my acid reflux
While I was never diagnosed with GERD or anything, I have a bottle of TUMS next to my bed that hasn't been used since I started CPAP a few weeks ago. It was next to the bed because I was using it all the time. CPAP seems to have made a huge difference for me, but it may just be a side effect of me m...

1st week @ 5 cmH2O AHI: 12.8 2nd Week @ 7 cmH2O AHI: 1.5 Equipment seems to be part of the bedtime routine already. I thought it would take much longer to get used to all of this but it just doesn't bother me anymore. Back sleeping does seem to mess me up though, it seems like every time I wake up d...

Or you could try a plastic hose clamp - your local hardware store should have these on hand. I'm not quite sure what size you would need...

Thanks for the reply!
I thought those lines looked suspicious but wasn't quite sure what they meant. Your explanation does make perfect sense though...
Guess I'm just going to keep an eye on them to see if they get better after my nose dries up.

Re: Newb with some ?
Back again with another update: http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l530/nruhlig/cpap/results2.jpg It seems like hypopneas are my main issue now. Not sure if they are being caused by my allergies or just more noticeable now that most of the apneas are gone. I suspect I might be having a slight issue...

Re: The Daily Blowdown
Hi Mike, been keeping up on your progress and ha a question for you: Do you have any facial hair like in your avatar? I only ask because I suffer from seasonal allergies (yay spring! ) and have to wear a mask while plugged up. I am beginning to think that my goatee and facial scruff is causing my ma...
