Re: HELP my ear hurts!
I suppose you could try irrigating your sinuses with a neti pot or similar. However, you should really see an ENT to be on the safe side. If nothing else, the ENT could properly clean the wax out of your ears and determine why they itch. An ENT may also be able to determine why you have/feel pressur...

Re: Modifying the Activa LT so it is functional/comfortable
When it comes to masks, there's not such thing as one size or design fits all. The Activa LT is not my favorite mask, but it works well for me and I don't have the problem you describe. Resmed is not going to redesign one of their masks based on the input of one person. Cudos for trying though. Mask...

Re: Is this worth purchasing?
You can buy a brand new DeVilbiss IntelliPAP Auto for not much more than that. Here's a link to the listing at Bestcpapprice.com. I believe our hosts (CPAP.com) will match the price. http://www.bestcpapprice.com/DeVilbiss-IntelliPAP-Auto-CPAP-Machine-with-SmartFlex-pressure-relief-and-Integrated-Hea...

Re: POLL AHI USING an Intellipap
Haven't seen below 1.0 yet, but I've only had maybe 15 nights on it so far because it's at my wife's place. Trouble is I only see her one weekend/month, and I have a hard time getting uninterrupted sleep. She keeps pawing at me. I feel like a piece of meat. It's so degrading . . . Ooh! A new type o...

Re: How do you communicate with your doctor?
If you're not getting the response you need via phone/e-mail, make an appointment to see her face to face. If you still don't get what you need, find another doc. Regarding your centrals: I was able to reduce the number of CA events I was experiencing by changing the pressure relief settings (turnin...

Re: REMstar Auto - CPAP mode on - still getting pressure pulses
Is it normal for the System One to tweak the pressure like this when in non-auto CPAP mode? I sure hope not! No. Not normal. Does your software indicate any pressure changes when you set the machine to straght CPAP? It's almost like it is insisting on sending the pulse to determine what type of eve...

Re: Anyone else snuggle with their hose?
I snuggled a bit too closely with it the other night and yanked my PR System One off the nightstand when I rolled over. Fortunately, no damage was done (I've now got it secured with velcro).

Re: Low AHI but higher pressure??
Your Rescan results could also be due to changing your mask (from Swift FX to Activa LT). I know that pressure is pressure, but each mask has it's own dynamics. I see similar results myself when I use a Swift FX vs. Activa LT. My results are even more dramatic if I change to a full face mask (Quattr...

Re: New To CPAP and it's Costing Me My Health
Well, a bunch of folks have pounced on the "stop Afrin" bandwagon, so I'll take a more generic approach. If you have to use a nasal CPAP mask, then you've got to have clear sinuses. I suggest that you get professional help with that. I don't understand why your allergist has warned you that that a F...

Re: Is this true? Masks not compatiable?
My RT told me that if I had a ResMed machine I can't get a Respironics Mask. Is that correct information? I don't see how the masks could be all that different other than how they feel to the patient. Just asking, I'm a clueless newbie! No it is not true. You can use Respironics masks with a Resmed...
