Hi all! There are over 2,000 post on cleaning or sanitizing your humidifier. After about 20 mts. of trying to read the tiny type my eyes are crossed! I'm looking for the definitive post or thread on cleaning or sanitizing a humidifier, if anyone can suggest one or two, that would be great! I have b...

Re: Burping, reduce my pressure? How much?

Yes my mouth may be open (and drooling no doubt...I should video my sleep). I checked the machine and my leak rate over the last 3 months was 1.2 L/min.

So the consensus so far seems to be don't lower the max press., but possibly RAISE the min. pressure or try the EPR at 3?

Thanks!!

Re: Burping, reduce my pressure? How much?

Thanks all! It's not the burping that bothers me, that's a side-effect, the issue for me is that in the middle of the night the darn thing really seems to be forcing more air, or pushing air much stronger than it seems I need. The ideal would be not to actually notice the process until I breathe in,...

Burping, reduce my pressure? How much?

Hi all! I'm in my 3rd month using my S9 Autoset with nasal pillows and sleeping much better, but just recently for some unexplained reason, I've been noticing too much air pressure in the middle of the night, (waking up thinking "why is this thing blowing so hard??) and have been burping up air in t...

Please recommend machine that adjusts pressure.

Hi folks, I'm a newbie w/22 nights under my belt but my S8 is filling my gut with air....wakes me up & painful! I'm hoping & praying to get my doc to write a "dispense as written" Rx for a machine that will adjust the pressure...an AutoSet or Flex type of machine. Any standouts? I really appreciate ...

Re: WHAT TO SAY to get better machine

Wow. Thank you everyone for your posts. I really opened up a can o' worms! There was some really good advice, interspersed with personal insults. Thank you for trying to keep to the objective facts, as much as possible. Almost everyone has something valuable to offer. I want to try to : 1. Keep an o...

Re: Newbie - sore back

Hi, I'm on my first month too. same problem. the key for me so far is to get a mask and pillow that allows me to sleep on my side for part of the night. the advice about a pillow under your knees when on your back is good. bedridden folks have to be turned several times each night...no one can sleep...

Re: Sometimes good sleep needs more than just xPAP

I had become religious about sleep hygiene (thanks, Robysue!) and it did help to extend the number of hours I was sleeping. Weezy Thanks for the great post! Could you be specific about sleep hygiene? Are you referring to no TV etc. in the bedroom, or about cleaning the mask & tube etc.? I will try ...

Re: EMBARRASSING question

Thanks all for the informative replies! I agree that I'm not swallowing air but that it's being forced down into my gut. It was painful last night! Especially interesting was what PST said: It is too bad you have an Escape instead of an Elite. The difference is data reporting capability. Having that...

EMBARRASSING question

I'm on my 3rd week of CPAP and all is well except that I am awakened every night after 5-6 hrs of good sleep by a belly full of gas. I proceed to pass gas for the next hour or more! I know I'm swallowing air...I know about aerophagia....that's what it is, no doubt....the question is... Is there anyt...
