Re: Can you believe this shit?
I went for my second sleep study last week. The guy told me he could not say anything. I asked anyway and he told me 8 but wait for a doctor's opinion.

Re: Nose Bridge Pain
I had the same problem after 1 week of using a mask that goes over the nose. I switched to the Swift FX and it is a lot better and easier for me as a new user to adjust with.

The first apnea is 103 seconds then an 80 second followed by a 92 second.
Is this accurate as I see the pressure is spotty during that time frame abnd so are other stats

Being new one thing I noticed is if I have no leaks it is very quiet. If the seal is not good I hear whistling.

Re: Weight Loss and CPAP - looking for success stories
I started to lose weight since November. Started at 258 now 215 and according to BMI tables I should be 174 or less. Just found out I have Sleep Apnea weeks ago and the doctor's comment was it was probably worse 40 lbs ago.

Re: new to apnea
I did tape my lips last night. I found the breathing easier and I went down a size to the small pillows from medium. They seemed to fit okay but I noticed they were loose at times and I would adjust them. I do toss and turn but I am usually woken up by it with the hose and all. I have the strap that...

My first study I was told moderate with 27 AHIs when on my side or stomach. They also said my back sleeping was severe but did not tell me the number. Funny thing is I don't recall sleeping on my back as I tried but couldn't settle that way. I am going back on Saturday night to get my flow rate dete...

Re: Calling all Ontario Users
I went for a sleep study in Brampton Ontario. Had to wait 3 weeks to hear the result. Was told I was moderate 27/hr and recommended a cpap. He gave me a list of 3 providers I could get it from and said I could go elsewhere if I prefered. I checked all 3 and found one that sold resmed. Called Drs off...

Re: new to apnea
My pressure if I understand it correctly is set at 8 and the EPR (ramping) is at 4
I am going for another sleep study this weekend to find out what the pressure should be. The settings above were on the prescription from the doc. I was told it was based on my height weight and neck size.

Re: new to apnea
I do adjust it laying down when I feel a leak. I always lay down first then connect my mask to the hose.
