Re: Calling All ZEO Users, Past and Present
Works just fine for me. Reacted to the (expected) change in sleep patterns caused by new drug regimen (Xanax - fewer deep and REM phases), REM phases correlate VERY nicely with Apnea/Hypopnea phases from the CPAP. Sometimes, it gets confused - like last night, when it thought I was lying awake for a...

Re: Xanax lowers my AHI?
Was I told wrong, is Xanax not addictive, and how long can you take it. As far as I know, it *is* addictive (which is why it's on the list of controlled substances). My physician prescribed a 6 month supply (1 month, 5 refills), which surprised me (because he knew, from how I described my situation...

Re: Xanax lowers my AHI?
You say you use a Zeo? What does your Zeo data say about the nights taking Zanax? How are your REM and deep sleep percentages? Any changes from pre-Xanax? Weezy I *think* (it's not immediately obvious) that my sleep scores are a few points lower than they used to be since I started taking Xanax (I ...

Re: Xanax lowers my AHI?
*Love* my Zeo, but haven't looked at the data lately (as I said - too much other cr*p going on in my life). But what you say makes perfect sense to me, Weezy - lemme check!

Re: Do alcohol and drugs lower AHI?
Don't know about alcohol, but see my post here about Xananx and AHI: viewtopic/t64071/Xanax-lowers-my-AHI.html

Xanax lowers my AHI?
Came here (after being offline for a while ) to do a search for Xanax, but all I could find was related to its effect of helping people fall asleep/tolerate CPAP better. And I found a post about alcohol and AHI, from which I borrowed the subject line... I've been on CPAP for about 4 months now, with...

Re: Does anyone scuba dive or snorkel?
I'm regularly doing deep (300 ft) and long (3+ hr) technical dives. Deep wrecks and caves (yes, I have seen "Sanctum", and no, that movie was nothing like the real thing). No problem switching back to nose breathing when back on land. The only reason I wear a full face mask at night is because I som...

Re: F&P Auto icon
From "locked" mode (where all menu dots are lit and you have to turn the dial half a turn before it will do anything), hold down the button and WITHOUT RELEASING IT turn the dial one (or more) full rotation(s) clockwise, until the highlighted dot is back at 12 o'clock. WHILE STILL HOLDING THE BUTTON...

Re: New to cpap . Crazy leak. Fisher paykel machine icon auto
There's info been posted before about how to adjust the pressure, so I won't go into that. I never had to do that to help fitting the mask, though. I have the same machine and mask, and had the same problems especially when sleeping on my side. 3 things fixed it for me: 1. I noticed that the leaks m...

"SnuggleHose" Cover for Noise Reduction?
I have a heated hose and so normally wouldn't need one of those hose covers. However, since my bedroom is fairly quiet, both my significant other and me are somewhat irritated ("annoyed" would be too strong a word) by the sound of the air rushing through the hose (yes, the machine is quiet enough fo...

Re: DME Providers in Massachusetts
I have North Atlantic, and so far have been pretty happy with them: They got me a top-of-the line F&P Icon Auto APAP, let me try (and keep) a bunch of masks, and even sold me the analysis software without making a big deal out of it (which, from what I understand, is quite unusual). Caveat: I've onl...

Re: Sleep Stage Trackers
I doubt it that it is possible to measure the stages of sleep reliably without the proper equipment such as these: [...] For all intents and purposes, it *is* an EEG. Headband, electrodes, you name it. I guess the main difference to a professional EEG is the number of channels (electrodes) and ther...

Mine is set to -6 hrs and seems to "switch over" at noon (at least I noticed that the number of days I used it increases at noon).

Re: Sleep Stage Trackers
Forgot to add that they seem to support the Open Source community as well as anything to do with sleep and brain waves. Look here: http://blog.myzeo.com/forum/ A friend of mine has hooked up a Zeo to a microcontroller and is now controlling hardware, and got plenty of support from their engineers. T...
