Re: Fired my sleep doc & found a new one

Good for you ReadyforRest! So important to be proactive! I am thankful that I had a good experience with my sleep specialist and I am able to message her at any time with a quick response. However I am not fond of my DME supplier but luckily my sleep specialist make it works. I would never go see my...

Re: Took mask off - don't remember doing it

I was taking my mask off and didn't remember doing this. However when I switched from a hybrid mask to a full face mask I stop taking off my mask. My doctor thinks the pressure was too much for my congested nose.

True. I don't use them; I prefer Pad a Cheek since I can wash them and reuse.

Ahhh perfect timing for me! Doctor just switched me to auto pap mode and higher pressures. I have been encountering eye leaks with this new change. Gonna try this... thanks!!!

Re: Doc switching me to autopap mode - Questions

Thanks Pugsy...I will check it into it. Well it look like to the new pillow was not a good support for my head with mask. I went back to my old pillow and didn't have the leak problem. I feel so much better today!! Thanks Janknitz! I will read the suggestions for the mask. Good to know about the AP...

Re: Will a tonsillectomy render my APAP useless?

I had my tonsil and adenoids removed when I was young which help me stop getting infections. However I am now on the CPAP machine. As my recent ENT specialist stated, surgery will only help you some but not cure your OSA. I could have my turbines widen but there only a 50% chance that it will be ef...

Re: Doc switching me to autopap mode - Questions

Pugsy I heard of that one. Do you know if that is effective? Where can you get it?

Yes I tried the hybrid mask and wish I stay on it but with my chronic sinusitis...I would end up pulling off the mask.

Re: Doc switching me to autopap mode - Questions

I am currently using Pad a Cheek liners and strap covers which has helped tremendously. I just need to address leaks into eye areas.

Re: Doc switching me to autopap mode - Questions

That great to hear and look forward to changes in mine for better results. I am on my 5th mask. I am a little person so most masks will not fit me properly so I am seeking tips to tweak my Amara mask. I heard about the mole or the ear plug which you put along the nose to seal leaks. If so, where ca...

Doc switching me to autopap mode - Questions

Hi everyone, I am currently on my 6th week of wearing my mask and sleeping with the CPAP machine. My AHI was still high so my doctor has put in an order to switch me to autopap mode instead of one pressure. Has anyone been through this change? Did this make a difference? I have good nights and frus...

Re: Pad a Cheek products has reduced my AHI/leaks

Well according to their site, the liners last for months. I just washed mine and it is good as new. The material is strong and very durable. I suspect I will be using these for a very long time. I plan to order more so that I can change them every few days since I drool.

Re: Pad A Cheek...total failure

I agree with the last post...You need to change the title as you are making the company look like a failure when in fact they are not. I have been using their products for a week now and my AHI has gone down. You may just need to try a different technique.

Re: Do nasal pillows work better at keeping sinuses open?

Wish I had the same luck with nasal pillows. I have chronic sinusitis and was not able to tolerate the hybrid mask. I am back on a FF mask.

Re: Pad a Cheek products has reduced my AHI/leaks

I tried the liners from Remzzzs and I preferred Pad a Cheek which does a better job with the leaks for me. Plus I can wash these liners and strap covers which last a long time. I am not going to go through the trouble of seeing if insurance will cover the cost....not worth my time or fight.
