Re: How am I supposed to feel?
I've been on CPAP for 43 days and although I felt a big improvement after even the first night that was short lived and when I looked at my data I found that treatment was still less than ideal. It took me another week before I determined what settings worked best and then things really started to ...

Re: How do you train yourself not to open your mouth?
I have a mask that covers my nose and mouth but not the whole face. This morning my mouth opened and there was quite a lot of leakage. If this mask leaks only when you mouthbreathe, it may be that you have the wrong size mask or the headgear is not evenly and properly adjusted. When my husband trie...

Re: How do you train yourself not to open your mouth?
I ended up buying the OptiLife because it has the chin strap. I hope all goes well. Nervous about the nose pillows and sleeping but hoping I can get over it. Thanks.

Re: How do you train yourself not to open your mouth?
If the mask covers both your nose and mouth, you can open your mouth. You do not lose therapy by opening your mouth with any full face mask or hybrid. That is what they are for, many of us mouth breathe. Cheers N Funny thing is I did not mouth breath at the sleep place and felt better than I have s...

How do you train yourself not to open your mouth?
I have a mask that covers my nose and mouth but not the whole face. This morning my mouth opened and there was quite a lot of leakage. I can also tell that I am not as good feeling so I'm thinking I did not benefit too much last night. Before this I wanted to try some of the nasal masks, being a lit...

Re: Why not just get the operation for OSA?
Isn't there some kind of surgery where thy do not break your jaw but they somehow cut something (sorry) in your mouth and pull your tongue forward? I know that sounds funny but that's what I remember the doctor mentioning.

How am I supposed to feel?
Been on CPAP about five days. Sleep through the night fine. I don't wake up feeling full of energy but I don't feel like I have to sleep all day either. After I get ready I feel awake, something I did not feel before. During the day I don't feel like taking a nap but there is this undertow of heavin...
