It wouldn't be impossible for the silicone gaskets inside the humidifier to become brittle or get crimped and thus allowing a leak inside the humidifier. What does your leak data show? From my limited research, these should work in a PRS1 or S9 machine. If you have an older machine, it may need an older SD card, SDHC may not work.
