wanted:
A used (and ready to be tossed) Swift FX Nano size WIDE for sizing purposes.
I used the sizing chart and bought the standard size, but it feels like bigger would fit better. Too expensive to buy again, unless I know it fits.

Re: pressure loss of machine?
I should clarify, I don't tear off the mask in a panic; it's more of a ticked off thing.
I have the largest size of pillow. If the air is getting in a bind, as you say, wouldn't that be reflected in the numbers somewhere?

Re: pressure loss of machine?
I usually sense the pressure has dropped right before I tear off my mask. It seems like there's not enough pressure to help do anything of value. Today it was a bit after 10am. no, the machine isn't going to magically start 'losing pressure' due to something in the humidifier, after a few hours, an...

Re: pressure loss of machine?
It wouldn't be impossible for the silicone gaskets inside the humidifier to become brittle or get crimped and thus allowing a leak inside the humidifier. What does your leak data show? If it is happening it will show up as a significant leak on the software reports. Those gaskets are relatively ine...

pressure loss of machine?
machine: Philips PRS1 60 series w/ unheated humidifier Can there be a loss of pressure to my mask caused by leaks in the humidifier chamber? (or that seal which mates the chamber to the housing, or the elbow seal) Sometimes it feels like theres a drop in pressure and it's not where the mask meets my...

cheap SDHC card $0.99
From my limited research, these should work in a PRS1 or S9 machine. If you have an older machine, it may need an older SD card, SDHC may not work.

Re: Eye-Fi SD card with WiFi
Yes, good points.
After perusing eye-fi messageboards, it seems their proprietary software will not even be able to see files other than photos.

Eye-Fi SD card with WiFi
Is there any chance this product can be used to obtain sleep data without removing the card from the xpap machine? Radio Shack has them on clearance ($10.48) -click on "Find it Nearby" , if anyone wants to try it. I'm gonna see if a local RS has one in stock after dinner. I don't see a place in slee...

mouth leaks: the shuttle valve
I've suffered from mouth leaks for a long time. I've used 3M blue tape, a papcap, nipple cream, various dental gizmos and an ace bandage to try and stop the leaks. They can be successful, but the discomfort is so much that it's enough to make sleeping difficult if not impossible. Now, enter the shut...

Re: Is A-flex supposed to work like this?
Thanks for the responses, folks. I've tried c-flex and I tried it again last night. Very uncomfortable, for me.
I'll have to mess around with settings to find a happy medium, I s'pose.

Re: Is A-flex supposed to work like this?
My pressure is mostly set for 10-13cm, more recently 8-12cm to try and reduce the a-flex feeling I'm discussing in this topic.

Is A-flex supposed to work like this?
I've been using A-flex for a few weeks, and I've found it mostly comfortable. But recently I noticed that if I inhale slowly, I can feel the pressure cut out, before I've completed my inhalation. It's disturbing. The slow inhalation is while I'm still awake. The different settings seem to delay the ...

Re: wisdom teeth removal
Good morning and thanks for responding. I was going to add to the original OP that wisdom teeth removal could be a contributing factor to a later onset of apnea episodes. For example, similar to what you've indicated, maybe 5 yrs after my wisdom teeth were removed, the tissues in my throat were no l...

POLL: wisdom teeth removal
I was thinking back to when I had 3 wisdom teeth removed, allegedly to facilitate teeth movement for braces. It was around this time that my life changed for the worst. My stupid theory is that removal of these teeth was akin to removing poles holding up a tent. The airway, which may have been previ...
