Re: OT - Southwest Airlines & CPAP (Boarding & Stowing)
For an extra $10 you can upgrade your boarding status to assure you of an "A" level boarding spot...this will guarantee you enough room in cabin overhead bin space.

What does PB look like
I have rarely had PB/CSR show up in SH (maybe once a year). Now I'm getting 2 or 3 a month. When I look at the graph, they are always about 2 minutes long and I cannot distinguish them from any other breathing pattern during the night...the green highlighted section looks the same as any section not...

Re: United Airlines new carry-on policy goes into effect March 1
I haven't been to London for several years, so my experience may no longer be relevant. When I flew from London, I was permitted only one carry-on bag and no exceptions were made for CPAP machines. As a result, I had to jam my CPAP machine into my backpack, and put my hose and mask in the suitcase ...

Re: Slightly frustrating DME visit
It is absolutely no big deal...change it..I change mine all the time. It's your health...take control of it and don't worry about pleasing the RT or anyone else.Country4ever wrote: Its so ridiculous. The order was for 8-12 cm pressure, and I want 9cm of straight cpap. What's the big deal if I change it??

Never
If I didn't wear it I would suffer the next day and I'm done with that.
I log over 220 hrs a month.

Are you saying that in every 90 day period you have to see you doc face to face three times? That's worse than crazy.

Re: User Flags
Thanks Pugsy
So, my user flag was set at 20% and 10 seconds...I didn't set it but it was there. It says user flags are not included in AHI. Since mine was set, does that mean all my 10 second apneas were not recorded in AHI and therefore distorted my stats?

User Flags
Last night I registered a "user flag" identified in the event graph as a green line. In looking at it the flow rate graph, it appears to be an apnea with flat line breathing for about 10 seconds. I have seen posts here talking about setting custom flags but I have not done this. Where in Sleepyhead ...

Does the new rule apply to those already over 65 on 1/31/2014 and previously on CPAP or just new Medicare folks after that date?

Pressure Graphs v Pressure Stats sleepyhead
For last night, Sleepyhead shows my pressure at a maximum of 9.5...However, the graph for pressure shows that my pressure was well over 13 many times during the night and was rarely below 11. Am I reading this incorrectly or is something amiss? http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i184/lehosm/1_31_14_z...

Advice on DMEs
I presently get my supplies through the VA. They contract with a local DME who delivers to my home and checks my machine for proper pressure and compliance. The VA schedule sets a limit of 2 masks with associated tubing, headgear, and filters per year. I put an average of 1600 hours on a mask in 6 m...

Re: How long between studies
My study was in 1999. Since then I have been through 4 machines and many masks. Since I learned how to adjust my own pressure, I have gotten my average AHI to below .5 and therefore I don't plan on getting any more studies...why would I?
