Re: First Night w/ CPAP

Thanks for the velcro tip and encouragement - makes me feel like at least I am on the right track. I'm glad to hear this is all normal stuff. I have to admit I feel better already. No mid-morning/mid-afternoon sleepiness (and I work in IT! Hardly what I'd call exciting stuff!!) and an overall increa...

Re: Hello Everyone and a little reassurance please

So glad to find this thread. I had a great first night and a mediocre second night. Could swear the mask was leaking, but it never set the alarm off. Felt like I woke up a lot to adjust it -- but still, got better sleep than I did pre-CPAP! I guess it's all a learning process.

Re: First Night w/ CPAP

So last night didn't go as well. I still feel rested, but I swear I kept getting leaks. My husband said it was louder than the night before, too. My leak alarm never went off, however. I'm not sure what on earth was different but now I'm wondering if I should tighten the strap ever so slightly. I co...

Re: FX Swift Mask & Being Awoken by the Blasts of Air Pressure

I am probably not the best person to answer this issue, since I just had my second night of CPAP therapy. I have the Swift FX for her. The first night was fine - but last night, I kept getting what I thought were leaks and my husband complained it was "much noisier" than the night before. My mask le...

Re: First Night w/ CPAP

Thank you ! I appreciate the input. My straps seem pretty loose. They're very comfortable, actually. I keep thinking it should be tighter but haven't moved it from its original fitting. I didn't have much trouble with leakage, fortunately. My biggest complaint is the tender nose and the cold air. I ...

First Night w/ CPAP

Hi, Last night was my first night with my CPAP machine. I have a Respironics System One REMstar Auto CPAP Machine with A-Flex and a Swift FX for Her mask. Overall I think it went well. I was awake a lot, but, when I slept it was good. I woke up at 6 and felt refreshed. (Placebo effect because I real...
