I am sorry to hear that. Have you tried the new systems? Or, are you just judging from the fact you first tried a 15 year old machine? I recently began my CPAP treatment and find it rather easy to comply. It seems that surgery on your toungue with a screw would be worse?

Meghan, I feel your pain. I am much the same way. I have never been a morning person myself.
I started CPAP a week ago and it wasn't until last night that I could sleep through the night.
I can't say I jumped out of bed this morning, but I felt more alive. I have hope for tomorrow.

I figure at least I can breathe through a bandana in worst case scenario. Tape kind of freaks me out.
It should just add the gentle pressure I require to seal my lips. I will report back tomorrow.
