Re: CPAPs vs. O2 lines in hospital
Yes, it is absolutely important. The low flow rate of oxygen will do nothing to keep your airway open. Anyone on CPAP or BiPAP should always take their machine with them to the hospital. If you are having surgery, you should make sure that the anesthesiologist is aware that you use a CPAP. Narcotics...

Re: First Night, so far, so good...
Okay. As my husband pointed out, "Well behaved women rarely make history." So I enable the AHI function on my REMstar. My AHI this morning was 2.5, which I pointed out to hubby was in the normal range. Now the only other thing that bothers me is that BCBS, my insurance, requires compliance data in o...

Re: Noob with a question
That might work. I did the study with a Mirage full face mask. I'm almost exclusively a nose breather, only breathing through my mouth when I have an upper respiratory infection. Might have to get used to have something shoved up my nose.

Noob with a question
I had my sleep study with the CPAP yesterday. I'm a nightshifter, so I came straight from work and did the test during the day. Today I have a line of zits down my face where the face mask was. I have very oily skin. The area is painful when palpated. I'm primarily a side sleeper, and it is the side...
