Re: Most of you are a bunch of nice people!
I agree with Blake. I know that I could never have made it this far (started Jan. 26) without the help that I've received here and all of the information I gained from reading everything I could find on this forum. This is truly one of the best forums I've ever been a member of. Thanks a million. Na...

Re: PROPER CLEANING, Equipment Life Span
I wash my nasal pillows, humidifier tank, and small mask hose daily in Neutrogena facial wash. I air dry everything. Once a week I wash the heated hose, head gear and I wipe down the outside of the machine itself. I just don't want anything growing that I can't see and I want everything to stay look...

Re: DOES SLEEING WITHOUT "IT" FOR 2 HOURS RUIN THE AFFECT?
I'm new at this (5 weeks) so I don't know whether or not it ruins everything but I do know that you need to get to the point where you can enjoy sleeping WITH the machine and mask. I'm afraid that sleeping without the mask just prolongs the process of getting used to therapy. But as I said, I'm just...

Re: Uncomfortable experience with the DME at the sleep lab
I just went through something similar except I had already been given a CPAP and wanted to exchange it. I had to get a Rx from my doctor saying APAP and I just had the doctor write it for the exact machine I wanted (S9 Autoset). When I asked my insurance company about it, they said that it depends o...

Papillow
I was all set to order the Papillow from cpap.com but I read some of the reviews on their website for the Papillow and many of the people said it was too hard and one person said it gave them a stiff neck. I had searched first on cpaptalk.com and many of you said it is a favorite and that is why I w...

Re: One week on new APAP machine.
Uncle _Bob, that was my point with my doctor. We can always just go with CPAP mode but with my S9 Elite, we had nowhere to go if that didn't work. So far I am loving this Autoset but I've only been using it a week. Thanks for the replies.

One week on new APAP machine.
Last night was my seventh night on my new S9 Autoset and I think that it is a success. I had the S9 Elite before. This past week on the Autoset (pressure range 8 to 12), my AHI averaged 0.7. The prior month my AHI averaged 2.7 on the Elite (pressure 10). I know that I feel better. I'm not saying tha...

Re: Back pains
I had a real problem with that for awhile at first and I figured out it was because I was being so careful not to cause leaks with my mask that I would spend most of the night flat on my back. As I got used to the mask and moved around more during the night, the back pains went away. I hope you are ...

Re: Am I stuck with my machine
I received my first machine (S9 Elite) on the 26th of January and last Monday (the 28th of February) my DME exchanged machines and gave me the S9 Autoset. My doctor wrote a new prescription for the exact machine that I wanted. I have to say that my DME never questioned it. I talked to her about it b...

Re: I'm getting an S9 Autoset...Yay
MiPilot, I think that you will love the S9 Autoset. I just switched from the Elite to Autoset last Monday and I am thrilled with it. The pressure on the Elite was set at 10 and the range on the Autoset is set for 8 to 12. The pressure on the Autoset (95% number) has been 11.9 and my AHI numbers have...

Re: Advice on CPAP upgrade (S8 Escape II to S9 Elite)
I just traded my S9 Elite for a S9 Autoset. The Elite is a great machine and I am sure that many people here are pleased with it. I just felt that the Autoset was a better choice for me. During my titration I never once moved from my back and I also never entered REM sleep. Before CPAP I only snored...

Re: I have my new S9 Autoset!
Thanks for the filter suggestion, Uncle_Bob. I will definitely look into those. Thanks for all of the nice replies. That's what I love about this forum. No one else cares one bit about whether I have a CPAP or an Autoset or a whatever. You can get on here and crow about the simplest little thing and...

I have my new S9 Autoset!
I posted a week or so ago that I was trying to exchange my S9 Elite for an Autoset. Well, I did it! The DME just dropped it off and I can't wait to go to sleep tonight so that I can try it. The copy of the invoice just said "exchange" and there was no charge (I'll keep that copy in a safe place). Th...
