I was in a similiar situation as you, and I just bought the S8 Vantage although I could have waited for the new remstar mseries auto. It was a trade off ... cflex which I may or may not like vs having an excellent display system for my stats in the morning. I don't really find it that hard at all to...

Can CPAP really drop your AHI this much?
I had ~57 AHI when I was in my sleep study. My S8 vantage has been reporting me at 1 AHI the last few nights. Is it plausible it's doing that, or is it just missing a lot of AHI that a sleep study would find?

According to my doctor, it's normal for cpap users to feel like they are suffocating and breath through their mouth on the first month or so of CPAP therapy. Don't get too anxious to tape your mouth shut. Most people will learn to close their mouth automatically after a bit of use on the machine. I ...

First Night with New Auto - Good Results I think
Three weeks into CPAP therapy, and I finally get my S8 Vantage APAP machine. It's also the first night I've managed to sleep all the way through with my mask on. 8 full hours. Results: Avg Pressure: 10.2 AHI: 4.1 Leak: .37 L/s Pretty sweet stuff. No problems at all, besides the marks on my face . An...

Okay. Has anyone used the Comfort Gel AND the Aptiva? What did you think? Sounds like I should stop thinking about Ultra Mirage and start thinking about Comfort Gel. Oh wait. My APAP only works with certain masks. Will an S8 autoset Vantage work with Comfort Gel? Anyone? Bueller? From what I've rea...

I'm only a newbie in CPAP terms - a couple weeks. I had the Swift and loved it when I put it on. But for some reason I just couldn't fall asleep, didn't get a good nights sleep, and ripped it off in the middle of the night. It also had an annoying whistling sound that I couldn't seem to get rid of. ...

Right now I'm just using a REMSTAR AUTO machine. Yesterday they finally made it AUTO after they got the prescription for the sleep doc. My pressure was set between 8-11. FIrst time in two weeks I actually managed to sleep with my new nasal mask on all night. Exhaling doesn't really bother me ATM unl...

If you're intelligent and willing to do the research, then you'll be ahead of the game no matter how the system works. Our system is geared towards people who want a quick fix, and don't want to hear things that they don't want to do. It took over a year for my step brother to convince me to go to a...

Remstar Auto without Cflex?
I'm renting my machine until I find out what to get... Remstar M Auto Cflex or the S8. The current machine I have is a Remstar Auto, but there is no Cflex logo on it. I was going to add the machine to my profile here on CPAPTALK, but there is no Remstar Auto w/o cflex there. Is there such a device, ...

Is C-Flex really that good?
Hi there, I've been on a CPAP for about 2 weeks now, and just got my prescription for an APAP. I'm more interested in getting the auto to check to make sure I'm getting the best pressure and not rely on the data collected by the sleep clinic where I slept horribly for 5 hours and doubt I even hit st...

MM... strange, I thought I set my preferences Mirage Swift Remstar Auto with Heated Humidifier Pressure 10 Thing is, I can smell a very faint plastic latex like smell when using it, but it doesn't bother me. But today and yesterday, when I eat anything or drink anything I get this horrible chemical ...
