Re: Managing similarities between OSA and depression?

My pcp and I are going to do a test of weaning me off Celexa this spring. I have been taking it for about 10 years but I think that OSA could be the cause, and not a separate issue. We are going to work with a local compounding pharmacy so we can reduce the dose very, very gradually. I'm also not on...

Re: Poll: What sleeping position/mask/pillow works for you?

I have been sleeping in all positions with my mask. On my back, on both sides, on my stomach. I haven't found the mask intereferes at all.

Still using my regular memory foam pillow, too.

My new CPAP machine is called Jones (after James Earl Jones, the voice of Darth Vadar) and my new mask is called Gonzo (which I think should be ...

The solution is not to cause taxpayers even more money than you already have.

Re: First Follow-up visit with Doctor

My apnea is ridiculously mild. No reduction in oxygen, only 5 AHI, although 13 on my back. I'm only aroused approximately 30 times per night from apnea and another 30 from PLMD. My life is a mess due to sleep deprivation. Sure, I may be in waaaay better shape than some other people, but this is enou...

Report on my first night.

Report on my first night. Went pretty well. I fell asleep easily, the machine was quiet and the mask comfortable. Could move between my back, my left side, and my right side with no problems. Had a bit of a problem with the humidity. I had it set too high and I go moisture in my mask which would dri...

Only 3 more "go to beds"...

... until I get my CPAP machine.

I can't wait! My night with one in the sleep lab was great and I'm really pumped at the thought of having nights like that every night!

I feel like a little kid 3 days before Christmas.
