Re: Sleep lab couldent believe my `high pressure` !
From one of your "good" nights that you posted in Jan. No runaway pressures to 20. What do the recent reports show? Is the leak line all over the place again? Base on this report below which is quite good, I would take a close look at the reports showing graphs to 20. Were you on your side this who...

Re: Sleep lab couldent believe my `high pressure` !
Hi Chivalry, I could not understand your hi pressures already in your post from Jan 9, 2011 titled "New to apap, graphs ok?" The Statistics from that time showed zeros for apnea index, central, obstructive, and unknown. Only Hypo index was at 0.4 and so was the AHI. But the pressure that your S9 Au...

Thanks for that... so 3 or 4 centrals showing each night isnt anything to panic over...... thats 1 less thing to worry about

Re: Sleep lab couldent believe my `high pressure` !
i had 3 centrals showing last night....... each around 15 secs..... i had 6 obstructives and 4 hypoapneas...
that gives an AHI of 2.1 ......... and an apnea index of 1.3.... 0.9 for osa and 0.4 for csa..
i hope thats well within acceptable..

Re: Sleep lab couldent believe my `high pressure` !
well im in the UK... so we dont tend to get the level and depth of service for sleep apnea that ive seen people in the USA get.. We tend to get given an auto machine ( i got the s9 autoset) and its left wide open at pmin 4 and pmax 20 and then were kinda just told to let the machine do its thing and...

Sleep lab couldent believe my `high pressure` !
well ..... after 3 months of differnt masks i finaly found 1 that is leak free! BUT!... now i have a leak free mask, it seems my machine can now start to do an accurate job of measuring and counteracting my apneas.... Unfortunatly that seems to mean being up around 19-20 for the majority of the nigh...

Re: ??? leak free mask = WORSE???
Forgive me if this question has already been asked but how are you feeling with these results as compared to the perfect night? its hard for me to tel to be honest... i think i must be one of the only people in the world with sleep apnea who has never sufferd with any kind of tiredness or lethargy!...

Re: ??? leak free mask = WORSE???
Probably a silly question, but are you cleaning the mask seal daily? the leak free set on stats in the very first post were from a mask fresh out the bag.. brand new.. but even though it was leak free the flow limitation andthe apnea ammounts were massivly differnt to the latest leak free mask in t...

Re: ??? leak free mask = WORSE???
I'm suspecting your bottom pressure is still too low, and that's forcing your machine to "chase" the events. That may make the pressures go higher. So try gradually upping your lower pressure and see if that helps at all (maybe 1 cm every few nights). It certainly looks like you need a higher press...

Re: ??? leak free mask = WORSE???
Here in the UK they dont tend to do bother with getting a set tritration... they just issue you with an Auto machine and leave it wide open and let it work out what you need and when you need it,,, mine was initialy set at 5 - 20 but i increased it up to 8-20 by myself.. How would lowering the max p...

??? leak free mask = WORSE???
Well heres 2 detailed graphs from 2 nights... the first lot is with my old mask that leaks... and you can clearly see where ive woken up with the leakage and turned the machine off/on to reset it.. but look at the very low events even though itas leaking like mad! Then the second set...i just got a ...
