Re: Quattro FX -- Please post feedback on it

I have tried the Quattro FX several times and have had the same issue with the silicone liner separating from the plastic mask just as Ms.Snuffleupagus has had happen. I think it happens when my pressure ramps up. The liner comes off the mask at the bridge of the nose. I wonder if this is a design f...

Re: Love/Hate Relationship with Mirage Quattro FFM..Help!

Hi Jeanette, I'm a complete rookie at CPAP, having only started Dec 2010, but I saw your post about the Mirage and just had to stop and vent, too, lol. My DME was getting sick of hearing from me and I went through six other masks after the Mirage looking for a better fit, and sadly, now am back to t...

Re: Masks...which one?

jbn3boys, It's really good to hear from someone who had some trouble adjusting to the nasal pillows. At least I'm not alone, and maybe there's hope for me with them yet, a little farther down the road with this experience. I'm still a CPAP rookie, so I have a lot to learn and get used to. Thank you ...

Re: Masks...which one?

Thanks, Den. I will have to check and see if the Ultra Mirage FF is available to me. Isn't it an older version of the Mirage Quattro? I wonder what was changed? I have to find something and fast, time is running out!

Masks...which one?

Since I started on CPAP, I have tried out six masks so far: Quattro Mirage FF, Fisher-Paykel Forma (with small & med. inserts) Swift LT for Her, Mirage Activa LT Nasal, Mirage Micro Nasal, and finally, the new Quattro FX. I was sent home with the original Quattro first, and then tried out the next f...

Re: Does cpaptalk.com help?

Yes, and yes again, cpaptalk does indeed help! I wouldn't have a clue what to do about some of the problems I've encountered so far and all the help I need is just a search or a new post away. Thank you so much.
Kteague summed it up so well.

Re: First Follow-up visit with Doctor

Tired Linda, I'm hoping my in-law will come around some day soon and find some relief. Wolewyck, "OSA patients presenting with mild or moderate severity, and no major comorbidities will not necessarily have low levels of sleep or psychological disturbances." Thank you for the interesting article on ...

Re: First Follow-up visit with Doctor

Emilia, thank you for your response. I had a good night's sleep and feel much less paranoid this morning, which is a good thing. You are right about celebrating the improvements and not doubting their existence; I guess it was the doctor's bemusement that confused me. I do have hypertension and befo...

Re: mask/pillow combo for side sleeping?

I have been trying a couple of different masks, alternating between the Swift LT and the Mirage Quattro FF mask. I am a dedicated feather pillow side-sleeper, so I was having problems with leakage, too. My husband lab ratted me a hose hanger from the headboard which helped very much, and I bought a ...

First Follow-up visit with Doctor

First off, let me say this post rambles on, and I apologize in advance. It's been 25 days since I started CPAP, and I'm getting more and more comfortable with it, averaging about 7 hours a night. Without this forum, I would have definitely had much more trouble adjusting, but reading through so many...

Re: F&P Forma Full Face Review

Hello Dane, Just wanted to let you know how helpful your reviews have been. You do an excellent job! I have the Forma in my stash of alternate FF masks, and you're right, you do have to make sure you get the correct fit. I was sent home with a small, but found it to be too small as it really squashe...

Re: cpap machine location

Hi trytryagain, my machine is a bit higher than the mattress as it sits on a rather tall nightstand. I don't have any trouble with rainout because my husband rigged up a lab rat hose hanger that keeps the hose up in the air. I like having the machine at arm's length so I can reach it easily. I like ...

Re: First night!

Wow, good for you! I'm so happy to hear you had a good first night. That's quite an accomplishment to say the least. The pressures on my machine are set from 8-15, so I would think you have a fairly common prescription, though there are many others here will know much more than I do. I also woke up ...
