Comfort Gel Nasal Mask w/headgear & Cushions
Hello All, It's been a very long time since I've posted here. I found this site to be oh so very helpful to me when I first started my CPAP journey. To all of those that provided their help and understanding, thank you!!! I'm posting today as I received supplies that I don't use from my supplier and...

New Respironics Comfortgel Nasal Mask just pay shipping
I haven't posted in quite a while, but I wanted to provide this opportunity to someone who could use it. My DME provided me a Respironics Comfortgel Blue size small Nasal Mask (with old style headgear) in error, not the mask I use. Still in its packaging. Just cover the cost of shipping (about $6-$1...

Discussion with my GP
I haven't been around much, life got in the way. I'm using my equipment successfully and the thought of sleeping without it at any time scares the you know what outta me. Recent appointment: Doc: How's the CPAP Therapy going? Me: Going well, thank you. I've learned how to read my data and make sure ...

Re: OT This is a question for the ladies
I had mine in '92; wasn't the same procedure; had a bikini incision but after two weeks I actually took a trip. Doctor approved so long as I didn't lift my own luggage. I was back to work in 6 weeks, I don't recall any lack of energy or strength by then. Of course, I was only 34 at the time. I actua...

Re: First night...is this normal?
Just a quick reply, as you've gotten great responses. FYI - My pressure is 17 - I turned off the ramp within 3 days! I couldn't get to sleep because I kept waiting for something to happen.

Re: Hi I am new here
Regarding congestion when you wake up and remove the mask. That happened to me when I was just beginning last year. There's a period of time where you need to get used to this. My sinuses would get swollen, not congested, but would feel like they were. What helped was a couple of advil or similar to...

Re: Plane trip with CPAP machine
I carry my cpap with me on the plane. I've got an upcoming flight in May. I'm doing a red eye, even though I'm supposed to have an outlet at my seat (according to seatguru.com) I won't use it on the plane. Too tight quarters to hook it up and I'm sure that there won't be any room (and I can't use it...

Re: Over the Counter CPAP Wipes
I use WalMart's brand of baby wipes. It's in a green package. A "natural" type. Since the mask I use, uses disposable cushions, I don't clean them, I wipe them every morning with the baby wipe. The cost for the 40 Count package is $0.97; much cheaper than $18+ for the CPAP Citrus Wipes!

Re: Last time you've seen any sleep professional? (poll)
It's been over 12 mos since I've started therapy. With the help of this forum, I was set from the get go. While I'm ok with my DME, I don't think I'd recommend them. The RT's there are ambivalent. The equipment they have is what they have. They didn't like it when I inquired about getting a differen...

Re: Hi all! Still getting new masks...
Make sure that you've set your machine for the mask you are using. I've read that if you switch from a FFM to a Nasal or Nasal Pillows Mask, you may need to make sure your machine knows which mask you're using so that your data is correct. Tomorrow I'll be picking up a FFM from my DME. I have been s...

Re: HELP!!
My pressure is 17 and I didn't like the ramp feature, so I turned it off all together within just a couple of days. I do have the CFlex set at 3, but I think I'm going to reduce that this weekend as well. By the time I wake up in the morning, the noise is my only indication that the machine is on be...
