Re: Apple Health (watch) shows lack of deep and REM sleep - using APAP -- why?

Yes, I did discover (after I posted) that my Airsense doesn't record sleep stages. The only way I am seeing them is through the use of Apple Watch, and I have some doubts about how accurate this info might be. Several people suggested I share my sleep data in the SleepHQ app. Here's a week's worth (...

Re: Apple Health (watch) shows lack of deep and REM sleep - using APAP -- why?

Thanks, Chicago Granny!!

Exploring Sleep HQ now. Uploaded data but no sleep stage info available (usual stuff like AHI, leaks, etc available. Will ask for help from their support people and be back when I figure this out.

Apple Health (watch) shows lack of deep and REM sleep - using APAP -- why?

Been a while since I've been here. Dealing with chronic fatigue (not diagnosed as chronic fatigue sysndrome) for months. Got a new Airsense 10 to replace the one I had, and a new Apple watch to see what additional insight Apple Health could give. Within the myAir app, sleep stage info suggests I get...

Shortage of large Airfit P10 pillows at Aerocare/AdaptHealth

I have been reading some unfavorable reviews of Aerocare/AdaptHealth recently and want to add another one. I ordered my regular supplies about a month ago, and for the past four weeks I've been getting messages from Aerocare saying that some of the supplies are not yet available and they will ship w...

Re: Routine endoscopic screening with known sleep apnea - accommodations?

Thanks to everyone who answered my question about the need for the CPAP machine during or after upper and lower endoscopies. Sounds like II probably don't need it. Now all I need is for the results of those tests to be negative (and to get past the disgusting prep).

Routine endoscopic screening with known sleep apnea - accommodations?

It's time for the every-ten-years colonoscopy (and in my case, upper GI endoscopy). It was during the last one that the sleep apnea was discovered since they needed to use a device in my nose to give me more air. I have told the clinic I have known sleep apnea and will ask them specifically if I nee...

Re: Disappearance of REM sleep behavior disorder after change from BiPAP back to CPAP

With regards to the question about whether I am getting REM sleep with my new machine/settings, I still dream...but I don't scream (sorry, couldn't resist the rhyme). Seriously, the dreams seem to be less upsetting, although I do have recurring themes in my dreams. As someone else said: just be grat...

Disappearance of REM sleep behavior disorder after change from BiPAP back to CPAP

I have been using some sort of therapy for sleep apnea for about 10 years. Started out with APAP, still had high AHIs, was told BiPap would fix things. It didn't. Still had high AHIs, as well as what appeared to be REM Sleep Behavior Disorder. I would let out blood-curdling screams in the middle of ...

Re: Trip with Cpap to London- help?

I think most of the things you need to know have been covered. I traveled to the UK last year and had no problem using my machine anywhere with the proper plug adapter. I was puzzled that I couldn't find distilled water so used tap water, which did leave deposits in my humidifier chamber. And I did ...

Re: New machine [Resmed Airsense 10 For Her]; much better readings but SD card won't record data

Reformatting the card did the trick. Last's night data was there in all its detail. Interesting that the previous days of use had a summary AHI but no detail. Also interesting that the Oscar software showed a slightly lower AHI than the Resmed software shows. Different algorithms, I guess. In any ca...

Thank you, Dog Slobber. I've reformatted the card and hopefully that will take care of the problem. I'll look to see if it has recorded anything from tonight's session tomorrow.

Re: New machine [Resmed Airsense 10 For Her]; much better readings but SD card won't record data

OK, I guess the consensus is to put the card in the computer and clean off the old data and try again. LSAT, my conclusion that the machine was not writing new data on the card was because all the file dates are much older, and the card says formatted for one of the two older machines I had (one a R...

Re: New machine [Resmed Airsense 10 For Her]; much better readings but SD card won't record data

Also, this is my first time with a ResMed machine, am used to Respironics where data would overwrite what was on the card. I double-checked that the card lock was not preventing data being written.

Re: New machine [Resmed Airsense 10 For Her]; much better readings but SD card won't record data

There is old data on the cards, from previous machines. When I insert either of the two cards into the machine, an orange light flashes as if it is re-formatting the card, but when I insert the card into a card reader, the old data remains and there is nothing written with the current date. I did wa...

New machine [Resmed Airsense 10 For Her]; much better readings but SD card won't record data

So I've had about a week with my new Resmed Airsense 10 For Her, just set to straight CPAP, and, for the first time in the 10 years I've been using a machine, have daily AHIs under 5. That's the very good news (keeping fingers, toes and paws crossed it continues). However, I don't like the dumbed-do...
