Re: Leak = no events???
I don't think your leak rate was above what is considered normal. That hour almost looks like the machine stop recording for an hour, but it did show a leak rate that was a little above average. I would be more concerned with the AHI, and the number of events that are taking place of which I sure yo...

Re: Opus 360 nasal pillows
I also had the same problem, but found that I was not locking the pillows in enough to snap in the grove. I also found I was pushing on the pillows when I was adjusting the pillows at nite which was causing the front to come to come loose. Also make sure you put the pillows to your nose before putti...

Re: Sinusitis
Have had it and still have it. It's chronic and I have to have it treated periodically or it goes to the chest. I use nose pillows and it doesn't seem to have a negative impact on me. Good luck on getting it treated.

Welcome to the site. Now you will start to live. The gasping will stop and you will learn to sleep at nite. It will take a few days to get used to the mask and machine, but you will soon adapt and you can concentrate on other issues in your life. Good luck.

Re: Acceptable Mask Leak
Thanks everyone for your responses. I was hoping the chart was referring to leak rate. I have my auto set at 9 to 20 right now and it averages between 33 to 34 L/min at an average pressure of 11.5. I was just worried that I had a leak that I was not detecting.

I'm no computer expert, but is it possible that the card is full or has become corrupted. Cards wear out sometimes.

Acceptable Mask Leak
What is an acceptable leak rate. My reports show no large leaks but 30 percent average leak rate. I use an opus 360 and I like it better than the swifts that I have used in the past. I looked on the website for opus and it did not have any info that I could use. I would also like to ask what a "Pres...

Re: How many???

Re: Should I be pissed or furious?
Actually, I was thinking that you should be furiously pissed, but that's just me. I also had the same issue with my last sleep study. The only way I got any info was from my DME and he was real hesitant to give me a copy. He only did it after he understood that I wasn't going to buy his machine, If ...

Re: Heart Problems and Sleep Apnea
I'm one of those with heart disease and and sleep apnea. I don't know which came first, but regardless, I do know that the heart disease will probably take me sooner or later, whether I use my apap or not. I just know that I cannot get a good nites sleep without it. I went for several years waking u...

Insurance companies will use anything to raise your rates, but I'm not sure this is the forum to talk about car insurance. Sorry!

Re: Poll: was your apnea progressive even after CPAP?
I am confused by your poll. There is no selection I can make that shows that my apnea got better Hawthorne : apnea rarely get better. you mean apnea is under control by treatment with the same setting/pressure from day 1 and that is the first choice In 1977 my pressure was set at 14 and as of Dec o...

Re: AHI and Auto CPAP (APAP)
I guess, I'm one of the different types. I have been on straight cpap since 1977 and last month went on apap and my AHI has been averaging 3.1. I really like the difference in the breathing and lack of adjusting my mask several times a night because I think there is a leak. My arousal rate is down a...
