Re: Climateline and Rainout
Thank you Mary Ellen. I'll check those out. I didn't think that my mask hose might be causing the problem but that makes sense.

Re: Is this normal? (Pressure feels low in mornings)
I have that same sensation. I just assumed it was me being used to it at that point
Congrats on finishing week 2. I've been using it for just about 3 months and am still trying to get used to the darn thing.

Re: Climateline and Rainout
Yes, the times it happens, the room has been cold. I have the temperature on my hose set to 68 and it was probably 58 in the house last night. However, it's been cold all week and I only got rainout once. I'm stumped as to why the hose seems to fail sometimes.

Climateline and Rainout
Hi everyone! Every once in awhile I get rainout with the Resmed S9 Climateline hose (once per month about). I have the hose set to Auto. I thought this was not supposed to happen. Does anyone know why this happens or what I can do to stop it? It's the worst feeling waking up with all sorts of water ...

Re: "Lose the Weight and your Sleep Apnea Will Go away!"
Sorry to hear that. I get that misconception all the time too. I'm 5' 5" and 125 lbs - I've been tired and misdiagnosed for 10 years because my body type and gender didn't match the "norm".

Re: Rainouts with ResMed S9 heated hose ?
I have the heated Climate Line hose and it does completely eliminate rainout when it's set to Auto. At first, my DME didn't set it to Auto, and I was having all sorts of rainout but now that I've set it correctly, I've had no problems. I can't help with the where to buy question. I got it through my...

Re: So Excited with last night!
Good to hear Kelly. I'm a new CPAP user too and still have a heck of a time falling asleep with the machine. Once I'm asleep, I'm fine.

Re: Papcap and Swift FX
I use the Papcap and the Swift LT and it works fine. Most nights I have no leaks but I do have to fiddle with the mask and cap a couple times each night. The cap tends to pull forward and thus pulls the bottom strap of my mask up too. I've tried a couple adjustments on the cap (I moved the chinstrap...

Re: Chin Straps
I've tried a few. The only one that works for me is the PAPCap . It is not without its troubles though - it tends to slip forward so I have to adjust it a couple times each night. The other straps I've tried slip around my neck or don't control my leaks. I find the neoprene to be itchy on my skin too.

Re: dry mouth/nose itch/burps
I have the same machine as you and I think you have to hold down the "info" and "setup" buttons at the same time to see another screen of stats on the s9. It will give you how long you wore the mask, your auto settings, and your pressure, along with some others.

Thank you everyone. Reading your responses makes me feel a lot better. I will try to be patient. Still Tired from a Newbie
Hi Everyone I'm new here. I was just recently diagnosed with mild sleep apnea (AHI 13) however I'm tired all the time so it feels severe to me. I've known that I've had mild sleep apnea for a number of years but wasn't excessively tired so didn't choose to treat it. Over the last 6 months, I've sudd...
