FS: CPap.com Battery #3 - Denver
First off I would like to thank you guys. This last five years has been extremely challenging at times and without you guys I don't think I could have gotten through it. Some of you have been over the top helpful. I can't thank you enough. Truly, from the bottom of my heart, you rock. I was diagnose...

Re: Soft for my Respironics REMStar Auto A-Flex M-Series?
I'm excited to download the software and begin taking a closer look at my #'s I was under the impression if my AHI was under control, that's all I had to worry about but after looking around this site quite a bit I realize there's more to the story. Wanted to point out... with my 32.6 leak rate, my ...

Re: Soft for my Respironics REMStar Auto A-Flex M-Series?
I wear it tight enough that it definitely expands my nostrils... maybe I need to look into loosening it, I just found it works better when I wear it tighter. I think doing a side by side comparison (with the software) is the best thing I can do for myself at this point. The airflow doesn't expand yo...

Soft for my Respironics REMStar Auto A-Flex M-Series?
Which software would I use? I know I need to purchase an external card reader because the machine is old. I ask because lately my leak rates/AHI is going up..and I'd like to be able to track this. My leak was up to 32.4 last night, and AHI was 7.6 I'm used to those numbers being closer to 26 and 4 ...

Re: Subsequent Sleep Study
If you'd been using software (with an appropriate machine) none of this would have happened, or at least you would have known what was happening with you long before the 'experts' or insce co's did. Do you have the right machine and software? Maybe you could rent or borrow one for a few nights to '...

Re: dark red lines on face where mask touches me
Bitch all you like - I don't think they'll do it - it's not a dress, but very personal equipment. They can sterilize it if they want, but if they have a policy (love those, don't we?) then I think you're sunk. cpap.com will let you return for a fee. Should have just gone with them. I'll call them M...

Re: Subsequent Sleep Study
There are those sleep specialists who advise NOT using your CPAP at night for one or two weeks prior to a new sleep study for those who have been successfully using CPAP for many years. The theory is that there is some residual apnea relief w/o PAP for some time after ceasing to use the PAP which c...

Re: dark red lines on face where mask touches me
If you have to go out of pocket for the Swift FX, check this: https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed-swift-fx-nasal-pillow-cpap-mask-headgear.html Your doctorr needs to know what the mask that was pushed on you is doing to your face. He might want to "lean" on them a bit. And the line about gettin...

Re: dark red lines on face where mask touches me
Take it back! It's not their job to make it harder for you, or to injure you with the WRONG equipment. At this point I really would like to just have the Swift again. I highly doubt they are going to take this mask back. The respitory therapist was great, she gave me extra nasal pillows for free (a...

Re: Subsequent Sleep Study
I was being treated for severe OSA for 6 years (first tested at about 28 interruptions per hour) and when I changed cities my regular Dr advised I get another sleep study done. In short, I received a false negative and now I don't receive any assistance from my insurance company. The false negatives...

Re: Just diagnosed with severe sleep apnoea
oh, and my last point... even if you are tempted early on... I would advise against taking any sleep medications. For the most part they do not help in anyway... they certainly don't address the apnea, most medications in fact will make for more apneas per hour.
Good luck!
Good luck!

strap covers and mask liners by our member Pada-cheek Can you be more specific? We have a member that makes mask liners or what? Pada-cheek is his/her user name? It's definitely from the silicone that lines the inside of the mask.... very irritating. Truthfully I didn't wash the mask all that well ...

Re: Just diagnosed with severe sleep apnoea
Well, sorry to hear you are bummed about needing the CPAP my friend. I was diagnosed about six years ago, and it hasn't always been the easiest of times...that's for sure. But I can with a huge amount of confidence that my life is so much better with the CPAP, its amazing. You are also *extremely* l...
