Re: CPAP without Apnea?
Few notes: 1) I have "herioc" snoring. That basically means LOUD as hell. :-/ But the good news is that it almost completely stops when I use the CPAP. My GF described it as dropping from a 10 to a 0, with some rare nights where I may snore at a 1 or 2 level of loudness. 2) The Resmed S9 records sno...

Have ResMed Mirage Quattro, recommend me another one...
Hello all. So I have a ResMed Mirage Quattro: http://www.resmed.com/us/products/mirage_quattro/image-gallery.html?nc=patients&sec=true I like it ok, but as I've had to increase my pressure settings, the comfort level has faded a bit...and I'm considering something that may be more comfortable for hi...

Re: Post your longest apnea events....
Be careful of assumptions about what CPAP software is telling you. For ResMed software (S7, S8; uncertain about S9), ResScan quantifies data into 60 second intervals. You may have two (or more) apneas during a single 60-second period. ResScan software graphs display the latest apnea in front, and e...

Re: Post your longest apnea events....
Be careful with the sore jaw... can lead to TMJ if you're not careful! I know. I've tried a lot of settings, strap tightness variations, etc...but my pressure is high enough that I have bad leak unless the mask is really tight...and when its that tight, I get a lot of jaw soreness. TMJ sucks but it...

Re: Post your longest apnea events....
my longest was during my sleep study - 58 seconds. There were actually several over 50 seconds. Odd thing is that my O2 never went below 90%. After starting PAP the longest was early on and from best I could tell, somewhere between 20-30 seconds. Now, not so many and not so long. If I can only get ...

Post your longest apnea events....
So I was looking back at some data from a while ago, before I had my settings figured out like I do now, and the data was very very scary. I had more than a few times per night, where I would have an apnea of 40-45 seconds, then one deep breath, then immediately another 40-45 second apnea. Lately, m...

Re: ResMed S9 Elite / Resscan issue, advice needed.
Those settings result in an AHI anywhere from 3.8 to 7.8. Usually, my AI is two points lower than my AHI, and the resmed machines are known for aggressively scoring Hypopneas, so I figure I want my AI to be zero and my AHI to be around two or less. At least, that is my goal! The S8's were known "fo...

Re: ResMed S9 Elite / Resscan issue, advice needed.
Great, run any change for at least a week to get a good average. You most likely will reach your goal in a few weeks. Good luck, john Oh for sure. For a while I was really just focused on getting my AHI down into the 20s or lower, being in teh 40s was scary bad....so I was making changes almost eve...

Re: ResMed S9 Elite / Resscan issue, advice needed.
Welcome! Do you have the detailed data enabled? In the Clinicians menu there is a setting that basically turns on the storage of detailed data. Look under Sleep Quality and set it to "on". Took me a day or two to figure that out! AH! Yes that may be it! I tried what John suggested above but it didn...

ResMed S9 Elite / Resscan issue, advice needed.
Hello fellow cpapers! This is my first post here, I came here from another apnea forum because you were recommended as being more friendly to self tuning. I'll post my details and such below, I know most of us geek out on the details, but the point of this thread is to help me solve a very basic iss...
