Window of correct pressure?
Is there typically a pretty small correct window of pressure for most people? I have been adjusting my Cpap myself for a while now with no results and I'm wondering if there is a "sweet spot" or something. I'm sure it's different for everybody but I figured I would ask anyway. Also, how much should ...

Re: Result of pressure being too high?
Wow! I didn't realize it took that long. Well, that's good then. The first step is being completely consistent with the machine. That gives me hope though. I'll probably just stick with it a while longer then and see what happens.

Re: Notice a difference with mild sleep apnea? (15 AHI)
I did have an auto titration done but I couldn't sleep with the damn thing. I had some real issues over the past year sleeping with my CPAP but I just had surgery on my nose two weeks ago and now I have no blockage(Polyp and deviated septum)! Tonight will be my second night using the CPAP with my ne...

Result of pressure being too high?
I was thinking about adjusting my pressure by myself but I'm reluctant because I'm afraid of setting it too high. So far, I've had no results and I'm getting frustrated. Does anyone know if there are any negative results from setting the pressure too high?

Re: Notice a difference with mild sleep apnea? (15 AHI)
Thank you so much everyone. Very inspiring indeed. I have been using the machine set to about 9. I haven't noticed any difference at all. I've also been struggling with my weight. My profile picture is pretty old and I've gained about 35 pounds since then. Once I starting gaining weight, I went nuts...

Notice a difference with mild sleep apnea? (15 AHI)
I have very mild sleep apnea. About 15 episodes an hour. If anyone has a similar level of sleep apnea, would you please share your experiences with it? How long did it take to feel better with Cpap? How much pressure did you need? How much better did you actually feel? Any changes in bodyweight afte...

Cpap and sleep aids?
Is it common to use sleep aids to tolerate Cpap? I have been taking Melatonin to sleep but even without the mask, I wake up sporadically throughout the night. Sleeping with the mask on seems almost impossible. So, has anyone had any luck with sleep aids?

Anyone with 15 ahi?
Does anyone have an AHI of about 15? I've been struggling with using the CPAP machine for a year now and I'm wondering if it's even worth bothering anymore. I have mood problems but they might be completely unrelated. Could my depression and anxiety come from my very mild sleep apnea?

Haha, I know! That was a pretty big spelling mistake too. Or should I say, "spelling mistake to?"chunkyfrog wrote:He wrote a book and he can't even SPELL?

Re: Robert Dawkins- Tolerate CPAP book?
This is the message that was sent to me after posting my first topic, which was about not being able to sleep with my Cpap mask. Sent at: Fri Dec 10, 2010 7:16 am From: RDawkinsPhDMPH To: Kotengu Your difficulty falling asleep and pulling your mask off are probably independent problems. Julie's comm...

Robert Dawkins- Tolerate CPAP book?
Has anyone read the book? Any success? I got a private message about the book when I signed up for these message boards, and I'm planning on getting it but I figured I would ask anyway.

Re: New Guy- Trouble sleeping with mask.
Thank you everyone! About my ramp settings, pressure, AHI and such, I can't remember any of that information and I'm not sure how to check those settings myself, but I'm going to take a list of questions with me on Wednesday when I see my sleep counselor. As soon as I get that information, I'll fill...

New Guy- Trouble sleeping with mask.
Hello everyone, my name is CJ and I'm new to the forums. (I had posted before but now my profile has been filled in) I have had my machine for almost a year now and I'm having a lot of trouble falling asleep and staying asleep with the Cpap mask. When I put the mask on, it seems to wake me up, like ...
