Re: OT: Our Australian Friends & the Weather
Please pray for us - - - 10 confirmed dead, including 4 children, 80+ still missing, 1000's of homes lost, 1000's and 1000's evacuated, whole communities isolated . . . . and it's still raining, with the worst yet to come. Meanwhile on the other side of our country there are terrible bush fires, and...

Re: Can somebody help me read my ResMed S9 report?
Hi bbmiller. I'm a newbie here too, and have learnt so much from reading this forum. I'm no expert, but from what I've learnt here your leak rate is expressed in litres per minute (L/min) The "95th percentile 13.2" means that for 95% of the time your leak rate was 13.2 litres per minute or lower, an...

Re: I velcroed up last night!!
Velcro is magic. I put some if the loopy 'rough' side of the velcro on the back straps of my F & P Opus and no more slipping and sliding around. My mask stays in place all night, and I don't keep waking up to adjust those straps - and no leaks. Thanks to all those who post these simple and quick fix...

Re: Questions about surgery
Thanks for the suggestions. I saw the ENT and turns out everythng is OK, and no need for any surgery. He didn't seem all that convinced about CPAP, but basically said that if you think it works and you're prepared to use it - then go for it. I know it does work, and I am prepared to use it, so I'm g...

Re: Any success with OTC mouthpieces?
Hi cubbieblue, I was diagnosed with OSA about 3 months ago after a sleep study. I've been using a resmed autoset for about 2 months -on a hire/trial basis until I see the ENT. My sleep has improved greatly, and I feel so much better. I saw the ENT this week. He said surgery wouldn't help me. But he ...

Re: Questions about surgery
Thanks for your comments. Can anyone who has "been there, done that" help me with what questions I should ask the ENT?? I'd like to be prepared to ask some intelligent questions and hopefully get the answers I need to help me understand everything, and be able to make an informed decision if he sugg...

Questions about surgery
Hi, I’m new here. Asking if anyone out there has had successful surgery?? I was diagnosed with OSA in September – I’ve been on a CPAP trial for 6 weeks now – so much better – no snoring, not feeling as tired and washed out. Tried a few masks – now using Swift FX with a ResMed AutoSet and humidifier....
