Re: Discontinued BiPAP M Series
The keys thing here is the doctor...Call him ASAP...If he scripted for the CPAP machine, the humidifier is now considered a "bundled" rental charge through Medicare... A few years ago the M.D had to include a humidifier in the prescription for Medicare to cover but no longer needed. Now, onto the re...

Re: Assessing Clinical Menu on CPAP / BIPAP Units
Dear drj130, I did not mention anything in my post stating that people should not use different masks, hoses, and filters. I said it is dangerous for non-clinical to change pressures in the clinical menu of their machines. I respect you as a patient, a soldier and for defending our country. I realiz...

Re: FlexiFit 432 size question...
Take, or send it back ASAP and demand to be refitted. The flexifit 432 is a good interface. A medium may fit better but you need to be refitted. Congrats on your new BIPAP. Your'e well on your way to SWEET DREAMS.

Assessing Clinical Menu on CPAP / BIPAP Units
There is a good reason why there is a clinical menu included in CPAP / BIPAP units. It is for QUALIFIED clinicians who have been formally trained in the delivery of pressure. Those of you who are not clinicians and feel you know what you are doing are flirting with trouble. When you had you first fo...

Re: rapid breathing/periodic breathing questions
As a CPAP provider, I can tell you my friend that you need another doctor. During your formal sleep study, you probably are expirencing both obstructive and central apneas. Rapid and shallow breathing patterns are SERIOUS!!! If you have a central apnea, then you make NO effort to breathe until the c...
