Re: Seriously, need mask help...
Thanks, Muse, for responding. I will check out that mask. My only issue is whether the insurance will cover it since I've tried two masks already since November.

Re: Quattro FX FFM now available in US
Gonna have to check this out...I just posted last night about my troubles getting my full face mask (Mirage Quattro) to stay in place. I get leaks like crazy around the bridge of my nose, waking up with air blowing into my eyes (and/or aerophagia off-the-charts!) This one also looks good because I l...

Seriously, need mask help...
Hi, everyone...I was diagnosed with sleep-disordered breathing/RERAs ("respiratory events") and told I have "severely fragmented sleep" in late November. Since then, I've been struggling with the masks. I KNOW I can do CPAP and I am confident it will help me in the long run - if ONLY I can get this ...

Re: Poll: How Often Do You Clean Your Tank?
He also suggested using alcohol to clean my mask, but I'm rethinking that now. The silicone gets cloudy and I wonder about the material breaking down. So, we'll see when I get the new mask and use a mild soap. I was told to never use alcohol to clean the mask (silicone part) as it can break it down...

Re: Need help! Uars, aerophagia...?
I don't have a lot of great advice, as I'm new to this as well, but I want to encourage you to see a different doctor if you aren't satisfied with what your doc is saying. I don't think "you're a tough case" and "take some stimulants to wake up in the morning" is satisfactory, in my opinion! I did f...

One more thing - I also got a little more info from my sleep report than I did in my first followup. The doc's interpretation of my sleep study said I have "severely fragmented sleep" and "significant sleep-disordered breathing" and confirmed I have UARS.

Re: Trying full face mask tonight...plus, sinus trouble...
So I officially have chronic sinusitis. Being treated with Ceftin for 1 month and ENT told me to use Neti Pot daily. So far the sinuses have been better - I just hope it stays that way when I'm off the antibiotics. I was having a lot of gas/air swallowing issues, so I brought that up when I had my f...

Re: Trying full face mask tonight...plus, sinus trouble...
I'm really struggling with the CPAP lately. I went to the full face mask and I'm still having major air swallowing/gas issues. I woke up last night and felt like I was going to throw up. I took the mask off and belched out about a blimp's worth of air...haha. Seriously though - I'm guessing it's bec...

Re: Trying full face mask tonight...plus, sinus trouble...
Wow, lots of good tips there! The nasal wash I got from Walgreen's says it has sodium bicarbonate and sodium chloride, and no inactive ingredients. Does that sound OK? My CPAP is on an auto setting right now, and I believe they said they would set the exhale setting low so I could get used to it. I ...

Re: Zoloft
Well I actually fall asleep fairly quickly, but I don't get into deep sleep/REM until the morning hours, according to the test. Yeah, it definitely helps to know other people are going through, or have gone through, the same things. Best wishes to you

Re: Trying full face mask tonight...plus, sinus trouble...
Thanks! Did the Neti pot tonight - I've done it before with limited success. It did seem to clear out a little bit tonight. And I'll try the nasal strips soon - my mom swears they help her breathe better at night. Used the full face mask last night. Wasn't a good night, went to bed at 11:30 and took...

Re: Trying full face mask tonight...plus, sinus trouble...
Thanks! Well, the CT sinus results showed I have chronic sinusitis and some possible other issues that are causing lack of drainage, so I'm off to the ENT next. In the meantime, my doc put me on a month's worth of antibiotics. Good times. She also told me I should really consider trying to eliminate...

I feel you...I am 35 and I started on Paxil when I was 21 after suffering for years with anxiety and panic disorder. I refused to go on meds for so long, and to this day I don't want to be on it, but i finally had to try something as nothing else was helping. I was on Paxil for 11 years, despite its...

Trying full face mask tonight...plus, sinus trouble...
Went in today to see about getting a different mask b/c my nasal one kept leaking as I moved around/smooshed my face against my pillow at night (stomach/side sleeper here), plus I have sinus problems frequently and I'm guessing I open my mouth in my sleep, as I kept waking up with tons of gas in my ...
