Re: Krickets?
You definitely have too much time on your hands! So, if you're a physician, you certainly would understand that: https://i.imgur.com/z6HqEmE.png I've measured higher. Maybe that'll shake your confidence in "simple arithmetic" (sorry you missed the sarcasm!) and Internet "wisdom", and trusting ...

Re: Krickets?
Boy, I wish I had as much time for this as you do! (Truly! And respectfully! :) ) I'll just say this: 1) The entire purpose of bi-level CPAP is to improve patient compliance. (Unless you have a different idea about what "compliance" is.) And it has done that admirably. It may not apply to all patien...

Re: Krickets?
But when they mentioned somewhere that they "instead of using pressure as feedback" did... something else(?), it got me really excited You'll need to post that reference. vital capacities, and other differences in breathing morphology. Again, need to be more specific, as vital capacity does not hav...

Re: Krickets?
... tell me how KPAP is better than bilevel CPAP... Improves patient compliance, reduces air leaks and (maybe probably) prevents TECSA by reducing tidal volume. What makes you believe that? At least to me, bilevel was a major factor in improving compliance. Why would KPAP be better? McSleepy

Re: Krickets?
Please indulge my ignorance (caused not by laziness or lack of fundamental knowledge, but by lack of time  ), but I hope you can save me some time - as you seem to have looked deeper into this new technology - and tell me how KPAP is better than bilevel CPAP. Everything I could find is about h...

Re: Your minute ventilation numbers
mv.jpg May 14 was a forgotten card. Usage bar verifies compliance!! Thank you, very much! I was hoping for a high-rate excerpt, but the stats are also helpful. What is the darkest green? There are four shaded areas (my ResScan only shows the three), so besides median, 95% percentile, and maximum, w...

Re: Your minute ventilation numbers
when the minute ventilation is lowest, it should be around 6.5L/min Normal minute ventilation is between 5 and 8 L per minute (Lpm). https://www.acepnow.com/article/avoid-airway-catastrophes-extremes-minute-ventilation/ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------...

Your minute ventilation numbers
I would like to ask you to share your minute ventilation values as reported by your machine, specifically, while in REM (best guess, but lowest plateaus). The reason is I feel I plateau too low, often at around 5L/min, especially since my vital capacity is much larger than most people (around 7L). W...

Re: Mysterious banning for spam has hit again...
It seems like the days of this forum are numbered. I've seen so many others disappear. Anything that is grassroots, and thus does not serve the financial interests of somebody "special", gets shut down and replaced by AI-driven madhouse cesspools. :x I don't think that mentioning the name of the "ho...

Re: CPAP with generator
Just look into what they call nowadays a "portable power station" with enough energy-storage capacity and pure sine wave output - which is the part that addresses the alleged higher sensitivity of the AirSense 11 to waveform uniformity (that some gas generators or UPS may provide); hard to believe n...

[...] I have barely had the energy to do regular moderator stuff the past couple of years. My mom died, my health is doing what all people who get older will do and I just hate composing anything. Past couple of years have been rough. I feel like total dog poop most days and none of it is related t...

Re: Sinus Congestion
While too much humidity can cause nasal congestion so can not enough added moisture. I get horrible sinus/nasal congestion if I don't use enough water in the humidifier. So just as too much moisture can be a problem.....so can not enough moisture. It's very individualized as to what a person's nasa...

You guys know that I guess I could be more proactive about removing junk posts that don't add to the thread's worthiness .....as a starting point for cleaning up the "distractions". If you all would quit the pissing contests there really wouldn't be much to distract you. I already make it so you do...
