resmed data appears not fully accurate
first off; i'm aware that these algorithms are an approximation of the full picture. none of us are getting full fledged sleep screening every night with our machine data. as an example, look at last night's data for me. by the numbers, i'd think "great!" but zoomed in you can see obvious flow limit...

Aircurve 10 Vauto suddenly smells smoky
for the last couple nights, i noticed that my AC10 was smelling like smoke. we have some fires in our area, and thought that might be it. but it isn't i just tried it out again while i'm awake, and it isn't from any fires. i even tried my mask/hose combo on the wife's machine, and no smell. i also h...

Re: used aircurve 10 smells like cigarette smoke
just for clarity. the unit doesn't smell bad on the outside. it's only the air that runs through it and comes out the hose. i have been running it all day. i also sprayed a cotton ball with some ozium and put it where the filter goes for about 20 minutes. now it smells like that. i'm going to run it...

used aircurve 10 smells like cigarette smoke
i purchased a very lightly used aircurve 10 (300 hours), but when i checked it at the place i got it, i only turned it on for a few seconds to see if it was noisy. i got it home and hooked it up to use, but when i turned it on, i got the distinct smell of cigarette smoke from the machine. i didn't h...

Re: I dream of using the VCOM, but I run out of air,... ?
Thank you. I will try as you said and feel if it works. Question : Regarding the assessment of the situation: with the VCOM, what objective have you achieved? -no mouth breathing? -no tape? -possibility of switching to a nasal mask ? -better OSCAR and O2 reporting -other? -any negative ? Thank you ...

Re: I dream of using the VCOM, but I run out of air,... ?
i use a vcom. it will feel "different" at first. but yes, you should increase your pressure by up to 2cm of pressure when using it. try 1cm for a night, then 2cm a second night and see how that feels. i believe they recommend no EPR when using it, so try that, too. and use oscar or sleepHQ to see th...

Mask trade? My unopened N20 fit kit for...
I have been on a mask hunt for a long time. I have a few I might want to trade, but this one is an unopened N20 fit pack combo. Mask, headgear and 3 different sized cushions. I would like to try nasal pillows style. Some models I'd consider are the resmed p10, F&P Brevida or possibly the F&P solo. M...

Sold: Wellue o2 ring, used 2 weeks
I just got one of these thinking my o2 levels were lowering during the night, but after checking for a few days, it isn't I don't have any use for this anymore, so if someone ins interested, I'll sell it for $80.00, plus whatever USPS shipping is. I would assume 10 bucks or less. I have everything t...

Re: Looking for a few reliable people to test a new product
i have settled on a F&P vitera. but i also have resmed n20 and f20 masks. if you develop any for one of those models, i'd be willing to try.
all are medium sized cushions.
good luck.

Re: Airsense 10 is 8 years old, keep using it?
i see you got another one. i was just going to say that i'd be more concerned with run hours. not if you've been using it daily for 8 years, it probably had a good amount of "miles" on it. rough math would be 17.5 k hours at 6 hours a night. i think they rate the machines at 20k hours. maybe a few m...
