Re: Software is not for patients.

I'm taking control, now, though I hadn't before. But honestly, I'm having to become a freakin' expert at this stuff... sure as they say, if you want it done right, do it yourself. Full-on type-A control freak mode has been engaged... and you don't want to get near the spreadsheets I have when that ...

Re: "Cluster" AI's - Cause for concern?

I get the same thing. Mine happen at the same time each night, exactly when my partner gets in bed. So I would have to agree with the movement causing cluster therory.

Re: Mouth Falling Open (newbie)

Here are a few of the basics: Mouth taping - Many people swear by it. I just can't do it. I keep seeing those movies were they kidnap the person and tape his or her mouth and throw them into the trunk. It just creeps me out. Chin strap - I heard this works but never tried it. Full face mask - I like...

Flow curve

When trying to reproduce a normal flow curve using a cpap what are we looking for? I know on my flow I have flat tops with a slight spike in the end of the upper curve and a very pointed under curve. Are we trying to produce a smooth curved wave form?

Re: Pressure From DME to accept Un Needed supplies

In these guys defence, Most insurances with annual deductables start over in January. So what may cost you a percentage in December will cost you your deductable then a percentage. So they are trying to help even though they come off pushy. But with that being said most of the time there is a 200% m...

Re: New mask VS mask seal?

I use the Quattro and have a goat-tee. I found that if I don't wash it every day it leaks. I only have a preasure of 7 so I dont have to snug it down very much. It helps to let it ride up so the bottom sill touches the bottom of your lip. I just started using the cpap wipes from cpap.com. I will let...

Re: leak issues

My lekas were horrible on the S9 with a Fisher P mask. I went a Resmed mask and it went to 0. I personally think different manufacturer have different leak rates built into there machines.

Re: Wha's Up W/Resmed???

My company is an Austrailian based company. When Socks hit they pulled out of the NYSE. Its possible Resmed is thinking the same. If medicare is asking too much of manufacturers they can pull out and list on the Austrailian Exchange and do what they want.

Re: pink slime in tank?

I hesitate to ask, but now that I know what the pink slime is, I'm curious what the white floaty stuff is made out of. I've seen that too. A naturally occurring fungus A white mucous or tissue paper-like substance frequently described as "noodle like". Forms a heavy, protective coating providing th...

Re: DME Question

Here is my take. I live with my DME supplier. Even still I asked that he treat me as a normal person and that one of his assistants handle my case. Here is what happened. Since I know the DME there were a few things out of order. First the DME recommended a company that does a Polysomnography and Tr...

Re: pink slime in tank?

I think we covered everything here. The only way to get rid of bacterial growth is to kill it with something more than soap. 3% hydrogen peroxide is one way and a small amount of bleach and water is the other. Just swish them around and rinse. Both are oxidizers and should not be used as a "soak" Do...
