Re: OT: Elf on the shelf--the TRUTH!

Their fruitcake is pretty good too, lots of pecans and walnuts, and a hint of caramel and rum I prefer the fruitcake from Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana, TX. It tastes just like my Mother’s. Now that I’ve got a Costco local to me, I’ll have to try their fruitcake, and eggnog. Neither are friendl...

Re: OT: Elf on the shelf--the TRUTH!

Thank goodness my family didn’t try to frighten us with the legend of some “elf on the shelf”.

They frightened us with the truth about “raw-head bloody bones” who lived in the attic.

But he didn’t scare me. Wait, did I just hear something in the attic?

Re: Medical grade tape to keep lips sealed

.... Thanks! Is this the microfoam tape you use? https://www.amazon.com/Microfoam-Surgical-Tape-5-5-yd/dp/B003DR0UDO/ref=sr_1_13?keywords=3M+Microfoam+Surgical+Tape&qid=1574747991&sr=8-13 ...snip snip... Maybe the microfoam tape is not as much of an irritant when removing? Yes, that’s the tape. I b...

Re: Medical grade tape to keep lips sealed

I use 3M Microfoam tape. Drooling will loosen the tape, so I use trimmed Poligrip strips to dam my lips and keep the moisture away from the tape. (Search this forum for Poligrip Strips) Because the dam sometimes fails, I do use a narrow strip of Micropore tape to supplement the foam tape. I have fou...

My understand from two good friends one with type 1 and the other with type 2, both were told to cut out carbs as much as possible. Re: New Mouth Leaks

Yes, sort of. I have been taping my mouth for years and after losing weight the last two years it seems more dribble is getting to the tape causing it to disconnect and a small leak on the lips waking me up. I have yet to find a good solution for this. I solved the problem of drool loosening the ta...

I always liked her tag line, “Veni, Vidi, Velcro. I came, I saw, I stuck around.”

Her avatar was a roadrunner with its head in a box of expletives.

I remember her struggle with her mother not helping her Dad with his cpap therapy.

The shelf holding my cpap is slightly warped,
so one corner is a skosh lower than the opposite corner.
It does not affect fuction one bit.
I’ve heard of “skosh”, but was unfamiliar with “fuction”. I could only find it in the Urban Dictionary. Now I’m blushing.
