US to Asia time zone issue - AIRSENSE 11
Hi - from the US, traveling in Asia the next 3 months. When I check my daily AHI, my Airsense 11 is presenting data from only 1-2 hours -- I assume because of the time difference between home (Eastern Standard UTC -5 vs. where I am now Australia UTC +10) I tried to change the time zone on the cpap, ...

Re: Will there be a new RESMED cpap soon?
I agree chunkyfrog - there will very likely be little if any difference in the efficacy of treatment.
After being away from the forum for several years, it's very comforting to know that you and Pugsy are still here, and helping everyone!
Thanks,
Jason

Re: Will there be a new RESMED cpap soon?
Thanks LSAT, it was worth a try to see if you folks had any idea.
And
there's no need now for anyone to ask me "why", "what could the difference be", "what are you looking for", "it can't get any better", "yes it's coming on Nov 10th at 12 noon" etc. etc.
Thanks...
And
Thanks...

Will there be a new RESMED cpap soon?
Hi, I haven't been on the board for a couple of years, and must just say again thanks for all the excellent help. I'm going to be looking for a new cpap soon. Since the Airsense 10 AutoSet has been out for many years, and is on sale now at cpap.com, does anyone know if a new Resmed model will be com...

Burning candle - smoke - can I still use machine?
Hi, about 6 months ago, I was at a hotel...a large candle was burning in the bathroom...I woke up to very fine smoke particles in the room which I noticed only where the light was streaming in through the shutters. My white filter was dark gray, as were the edges of the mask, expiration holes in the...

Re: Anyone who loves the MirageFXnasal find an even better mask?
Hi again, This forum helped me tremendously 5 yrs ago when I first started using cpap - thank you all! Anyone have advice on an alternative, hopefully smaller and/or lighter nasal mask than the MirageFX nasal (which I do like a lot). I just tried the AirfitN10 -- too heavy on upper lip. Also tried t...

Re: OT: Orange fluid at bottom of water distiller
Viking Gnome, Can you kindly provide some reference for distilled water being able to dissolve calcified plaque in your arteries preventing hardening of the arteries. If this is true, it would prevent heart attacks, strokes and peripheral vascular disease, and increase longevity considerably. Thanks...

Anyone who loves the MirageFXnasal find an even better mask?
Hi, more than a year ago I switched from the Mirage Softgel nasal to the Mirage FX nasal, which I love as it is so light (and fits fine). Is there anyone who also has great success with the Mirage FX nasal mask, and has found an even better nasal mask (maybe the Wisp, or the Eson)? All opinions appr...

Re: CPAP and White Water Rafting
If you have room to take just the blower half of the S9 (and leave the humidifier at home), you can look into solar power. I met a fellow safari traveler in Africa who put together a solar power charger. I believe they also sell one for the transcend cpap. A solar power charger is just a flat sheet ...

Re: I used my S9 without the humidier chamber -- no problem!
Sorry, I wasn't very clear about why I wrote this post. Of course humidity is a comfort feature; some don't need it, some can't live without it.
The point I meant to make was that the unit apparently seems to run well WITHOUT THE HUMIDIFER CHAMBER in the humidifier unit.

I used my S9 without the humidier chamber -- no problem!
I came back from a wedding late Sat nite and forgot to put the humidifier chamber in my S9 humidifier. It's not that I forgot to add distilled water, but that i forgot to put the chamber in the humidifer! Didn't seem to make any difference...I didn't notice the lack of humidity (and the room was onl...
