Re: ‘New’ Machine - CDMA type, not 4G?

That is why newbies need to come here and get educated on what to look for BEFORE they visit their first DME. You need to be aware that if their lips are moving they are lying. You need to be aware that they will sell you the machine and supplies with the lowest cost/highest margin for them. You nee...

Re: Where should I purchase a BiPap ASV?

There is currently only one brand I would consider, Resmed. Respironics shut down their US operation after their massive recall. I would only use something that works with OSCAR. Do you happen to use nocturnal Oxygen like I do? If so you will want the Aircurve 10 ASV, not the Aircurve 11 ASV which i...

Cudos to OSCAR developers

Yesterday I visited my pulmonologist for a PFT. I handed him a copy of several OSCAR reports. He was amazed. He asked what kind of CPAP machine I was using and where I got the software to create these reports. At the end of the visit I started to tell him where to get OSCAR and that he might want to...

Re: ASV

I went from S9 Autoset straight APAP To ASV PRS950 I think.
The past 6 years or so I have been using an Aircurve 10 ASV.
I don't remember any transition issues. Do you remember what I had for breakfast today?

Re: Be careful and track how long you pay medicare copay

I have read the EOC for my advantage plans (several companies) since 2010. Only the first one was caped at 13 months. I have had MANY discussions on this topic with many different companies as I discuss my annual decision making process with the top contenders.

Re: Resmed AirSense 11 Autoset For Sale

I understood everything you said except, what are
Three (3) Velcro Packets (unopened).

Also why are you selling a machine that has only been used for 8 or 10 days?

Re: I imported my Wives data into my profile. HELP!

The problem is when I put the SD card back in the Resmed it kept telling me the SD card was bad and would not allow me to turn on the machine until I removed the card.

I imported my Wives data into my profile. HELP!

I messed up. I was preparing for a visit to my new pulmonologist and I was in a rush. So I imported my wives AirSense 10 data into my profile. Then I attempted to import my data, but failed. Than I put my locked SD Card in a plastic case and brought it to the Doc's office. When I offered to hand it ...

Re: Mattress with adjustable base. What is Zero Gravity position?

I have an adjustable bed with a button to move it to the zero gravity position. I use that as a way to get close to the position I like quickly so I only have to make minor adjustments to get to where I want to be. "It's a marking term that demonstrates companies can use use technical sounding jargo...

Re: Anyone else get this email from Philips?

I have not received any email from Philips.
All my issues occurred while the unit was still sealed in the box, not out of box.

Re: Lied to by DME (Apria), not sure how to proceed

I have my 5 year old and my 10 year old machines that still work. I keep them packed and ready to go on a trip. In my opinion the mask, hose, extension cord. etc take up enough room that the difference between a travel machine and a full size machine is trivial. Since I use an ASV machine there is n...

Re: Lied to by DME (Apria), not sure how to proceed

In my opinion everyone should keep a backup supply of one of everything, mask, hose, water chamber filters and maybe even machine. Things break. They usually break on Friday evening of a 3 day weekend. Having a spare relieves a lot of anxiety. Having an autoship pilling up multiple extras creates an...

Re: Lied to by DME (Apria), not sure how to proceed

Crapria has a well earned reputation. I have delt with them for almost 15 years. If I order 4 items, like a mask, hose, water chamber and filters it usually takes at least 5 shipments to get it all right. It is common for them to take an order, wait a month then cancel the order. When I call they sa...

Re: FDA petition to grant OTC status to CPAP machines

When I was diagnosed with OSA and AFIB, I had never heard of either one. I can now look back and recognize my OSA symptoms going back at least a decade or two or three prior to my diagnosis by a doctor. I recognized OSA symptoms in my wife a decade before I convinced her to get tested. She now admit...

Where is Dr Vinnie located?
I hope he isn't in Chicago. That is too far from San Diego to travel for a Dr appointment.
