Total Face Mask

Still trying to get complaint. Thought the Hybrid was gonna be the answer but between the cumbersome headgear & the pain it caused on upper bridge work, I quit using several months ago. Have got to get back w/ the program as feeling bad. DME thinks maybe the Respronics Total Face Mask may be the ans...

is this a new type of surgery?

I was just reading on Web MD that there is a surgery that has been OKd by the FDA that is called Pillar Palatal Implants that are inserted in the throat I think. It takes about 10 minutes @ a cost of $2K which they say will be quite a bit less in the very near future. I have been on & off w/ cpap si...

I'll third that! I too am very glad I fell upon this site. There is nowhere to get good info about OSA, not my pulmanary specialist, not my DME folks & not my family doc. I have learned about 90% of what I know about OSA from here & I'm glad it is here. Thanks to all!!!

Hi WC! I also had been using the Swift nasal pillows & had problems w/ mouth leaking. I used a chin strap but I don't believe it was much help. One of the folks where I had my sleep studies done gave me a Hybrid F/F to use & I too am sold on it. I have a full beard & mustache & w/o having to tighten...

Last week I began using a Respironics Bi-pap Pro-2 w/ Bi-flex & it seems to be working a lot better for me as w/ my old C-pap machine I couldn't tolerate the high volume of air on exhale. Although I feel more rested & am getting an avg. of 5-7 hours of sleep compared to 2 hours before, I still somet...
