Remstar Pro with C-Flex + Problem
Hi all. My machine is having a intermittent problem. It will stop running in the night and go into alarm stating "service required". If I turn it off and on again it will try to start running but will just keep trying to start in spurts and the ramp light will blink. It happened just this morning an...

Re: Question for RVer's with CPAP's
Thanks Nan for the input. I have two deep cycle batteries as house batteries and can charge them while driving down the highway. My plan is to run a cord from a fused 12v ouput of the power panel up to the cabover and install a lighter plug. That way I can use the 12v cord that came with the unit an...

Re: Central vs Obstructive Apnea
Are your CA's occuring just before you go into sleep and just as you are coming out of sleep? I ask this because this is a problem I have. I use sleepyhead and I can see them at the beginning and end of the sleep cycle with none in between unless I get up in the night and get back in bed. Sometimes ...

Re: AHI Gone to He-- in a handbasket
Hi Muse,Inc---After working with Pugsy we found that my high AHI was being caused by self induced CA's when turning over and first waking up. My chart showed that everything was good until just at wake arousal then my CA's would go down the toilet, almost solid purple on the chart until machine turn...

Re: Sleepyhead CA's?
exactly-----I usually always lay there for a while, dozing in and out, trying to decide if I want to get up or not As Pugsy told me, if I really want to know what the AHI number really is I can figure the numbers manually: Count the number of "single" CA's between the batches, add to the other figur...

Re: Sleepyhead CA's?
Hi Moat---Pugsy and I have been looking at my chart and I have the same problem, only much worse. The few minutes before fully awakening on my chart is almost all purple almost every day. As Pugsy says, I turn from side to side through out the night and I know I stop breathing as I turn over, it's a...

Great----This evening I will send you copies of my data and see what you think. I hope it is nothing to worry about, but if so, it would be nice to not mess up my AHI readings.

Re: AHI Gone to He-- in a handbasket
Hi Again Pugsy, Over the past several days I have noted something strange going on and I am not sure what the deal is, maybe you can shed some light on it. When looking at my data with sleephead I have noted that all my high AHI's appear to be caused by OA events that occur just about the time I wak...

Still Have Masks to Swap
I still have one new Easy-Life with headgear in original bag, One almost new (used once or twice) Comfort-Gel Blue with headgear and one almost new Comfort-Gel with headgear, all size medium I would like to trade for Swift FX size medium. Re: AHI Gone to He-- in a handbasket
Good Day Pugsy-----Last night I set my machine for APAP, pressure low 10/pressure high 11/A-Flex. Seemed like I had a great night's rest, then I checked my readings this morning and low and behold, my AHI was 13.25! Timeline said it went down the toilet at about 4:30AM. I recall waking up and lookin...

Re: AHI Gone to He-- in a handbasket
I like your idea of making the pressure range tight, and I do like A-Flex. I will still watch my present setting, which was very comfortable, but if the AHI starts to get close to 5 I will try and 10 to 11 pressure setting with A-Flex set to 3 as the doc suggested.

Re: AHI Gone to He-- in a handbasket
Good News----Last night I set my machine to straight CPAP, pressure of 10 and C-Flex of 3. Checked my AHI this morning and it was 3.17. I will leave the setup this way for about a week and see how the readings go. If they stay under 5 I will let a sleeping dog lie. Thanks for all your advise and help.

Re: AHI Gone to He-- in a handbasket
I will give straight CPAP at a pressure of 10 a spin and see what happens. Should I turn the flex off or at least set it at the lowest setting? As you well know, I can't use the prescribed A-Flex with CPAP.
