Re: Sorgen Medical - Remanufactured Resmed S9?

UPDATE The address for Sorgen Medical was a shopping plaza in Brisbane, namely Westfield Chermside. Since I was in Brisbane visiting my parents, I thought I'd take an afternoon to view their stock and look at the "DS-6", which is described here https://sorgenmedical.com/cpap-auto-machine/ . I like ...

Re: Lots of Odd Brand CPAPs in Australia

interesting! and it looks like you (well, not YOU) are getting screwed on mask prices, to boot. if one buys from these folk. the p10 is a wee bit pricey. Yup. The basic rule-of-thumb is whatever the US price is, double it and you'll get the Australian price. For example, if a car in the US is, say,...

Lots of Odd Brand CPAPs in Australia

I wonder which, if any, of ResMed's patents have expired. Here in Australia we seem to getting a load of new "brands" and some interesting CPAP machines. A Circular CPAP On a previous thread about possible ResMed Air 11 models, was a design studio's circular model. Well, we seem to have it. Check it...

Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak

Oh, dear, that IS a negative! That is a major drawback to my AirMini when I travel, I mean USED to travel  ! (I've hacked the hose so I can stick use my Bleep and that has significantly minimized noise.) But otherwise it looks really cool! I wonder about noise, since they acutally address nois...

Re: Sorgen Medical - Remanufactured Resmed S9?

Looking at the 'About Us' picture of 10 people reminds me of a group of zombies trying out for a very low budget movie. Lots of makeup. Is that supposed to be the employees (About Us)?  I'm guessing it's meant to be employees. Something doesn't appear correct. I'll be visiting my parent...

Sorgen Medical - Remanufactured Resmed S9?

Hi - I live in Canberra and found a Brisbane (pronounced "Briz-bun", not "Briz-bane", here in Oz) company called Sorgen Medical. Looking at the "About Us" lots of photos with little information. Selling an APAP that is remarkably similar to a Resmed S9 for AUD 829. See https://sorgenmedical.com/cpap...

Re: S9 Autoset: "Settings Reset to Default Values. Please Contact Service Provider."

I replaced the battery and in order to check that the one from the S9 was actually weak, I put it in a key fob for my car. I did a range check to see how far from the car I could stand and open the locks, and it gave about the same range as a new battery. So it wasn't a weak battery that showed pro...

Re: S9 Autoset: "Settings Reset to Default Values. Please Contact Service Provider."

G'day Slarty - you've got the nerd in me curious now. I tried the Airsense 10 and, although they're good machines, didn't like it since I place my S9 under the bed. In the morning, I lean over and check the hours slept and AHI. With an AS10, that means tipping it up slightly and I'm too lazy to do t...

Re: Resmed S9, Airsense 10 and a Bit of a Story

I trawled through a number of threads with the hope that a fix would be in place... but no such luck. There was never a fix for the hooty owl bird chirping thing as far as I ever saw. .... am assuming something related to the innards of the machine when we inhale. Maybe related to the fan or whatev...

Re: Resmed S9, Airsense 10 and a Bit of a Story

Can you tell me more about this "bird chirp"? I recently got a barely used low hour AirSense 10 and I would say it has a "whiny sigh" at the start of exhale that definitely goes up the tube. I have the machine under the bed blocked in by pillows, except the air intake area, and I hear it just fine ...

Re: Resmed S9, Airsense 10 and a Bit of a Story

initially put it on for $200. I got a buyer for a bit under $400 It turns out this buyer lives in rural Australia and in a not-so-well-to-do area. Not only that, he borrowed money to afford the machine. Me? I'm definitely not Bill Gates, but I work in IT and earn a reasonable wage. I felt about *th...

Resmed S9, Airsense 10 and a Bit of a Story

A small story of CPAP ownership that begins a week ago, where I was the owner of two Resmed S9 Autosets. There was my favourite, a 2010 model with 12500 hours, and a 2014 model with 4600 hours on it. Both of these replaced my previous S8, which had about 12000 hours on it when I gave it away in 2013...
