Re: Help! No time for titration before vacation
Actually, we leave Saturday! The Auto Cpap machine is due to arrive tomorrow (Tuesday). I do have an extra cpap, but it is set for me, and my pressure is likely higher than what he needs. I don't know how to change the pressure, but even if I did, I don't know what pressure he needs, thus, ordering ...

Re: Help! No time for titration before vacation
My DH was diagnosed with borderline sleep apnea a few years ago, and was simply placed on oxygen (by his pcp) to keep up his sats while sleeping. We have a large oxygen generator in our bedroom. Recently, my husband got a new pcp who revisited the sleep apnea and called for a new sleep study. The re...

Help! No time for titration before vacation
My DH recently had a sleep test and was diagnosed with sleep apnea. The problem is we will be heading on a long trip (land/sea Alaska & Canada) before he can have his titration sleep test and get his cpap machine. The doctor recommends that he at least (continue with) an oxygen generator while we ar...

Re: What are good compliance numbers?
A bit of amplification: The bugger doesn't know (or care!) if you are using the machine. It only knows if the blower is running. It (and your Ins folks) assume you are using the machine any time it's running. That may become helpful should you get behind on your hours... I'm just sayin'... I was to...

Re: First night data-Could my mouth have been open?
My first night with CPAP (about a month ago) showed an AHI of 14 - down from my Sleep Study AHI of 69. By now, my AHI's are reading 3.3. I'm not really sure why they've come down, but they have. I felt dramatically better with the 14 than with the 69, so at least it was an improvement! I just wanted...

Re: Data capable question
I believe it is 450 P. There are a bunch of numbers.jules wrote:if you have the Pro model as you have indicated in your profile, you have data - why don't you find the model number on your machine and post it - it will probably end with 50

Re: Data capable question
Thanks for responding. Yes, I do realize I need to purchase software, but is my machine fully data capable? How can I find out?

Data capable question
How do I know if my cpap is fully data capable? Also, if mine IS, can I just take out the card and put it in my computer - there appears to be a slot for this - without messing up the data for my insurance company? Sorry, I am REALLY not a techie, as you can tell! Thanks in advance.

Yes! You are right. I couldn't find the exact name on my instruction manual on the list of choices, so I picked what I thought was the closest one. Thanks! I believe I've corrected it.

Re: AHI coming down, but...
AHI of 12 means that your therapy is not effective IMHO in a poll on this forum, the average AHI for people who feel good is below 2 your AHI is not going to reach that level by itself. you have some work to do . Again this is just my humble opinion I thought it seemed high too, but I am feeling mu...

Re: AHI coming down, but...
Thanks for telling me which software to purchase. I may do that, but right now my insurance company is only renting my machine, to see if I'm compliant. Fortunately, I haven't had too much difficulty wearing my mask. I don't even use the ramp feature anymore. I'm relieved that the machine is very qu...

AHI coming down, but...
Hello! I'm new, but I've been lurking for a few weeks. I finally got my CPAP machine last Tuesday (Oct. 26), after beginning this whole process in August. I am definitely feeling better and have more energy, but I am still sleepy during the day at times. I had been diagnosed with severe OSA, with 69...
