Re: Does anyone NOT use a humidifier?

I tried the humidifier for one night only, and hated it. i sort of enjoy the dry cool air blowing, but then again, the cold weather has not started yet.

AHI under control...Are leaks still important?

My AHI is down from 20 in my sleep test, to 2.6 with 9 nights on cpap. However, i still can not seem to control my leaks. My quattro full face mask seems to be leaking because of my gaotee, and i have been advised to shave it off. Tried a swift nasal, but it did not work for me at all, as i could no...

weight and apnea... what came first the chicken or the egg?

still on my first week of Cpap treatment and i think it is going really well until now. The part i am really excited about, is that my doctor claims i will start losing weight easier (weight i have put on for no reason), explaining that the apnea could have actually caused the excess weight. However...

Re: Permission to vent? (no pun intended)

She is actually thrilled that we finally found what was wrong with me, and got a cpap to cure it. but it is her 'problem solved, move on' attitude that is bugging me.

Or maybe i am just in a bad mood, and letting the smallest things get on my nerves.

Permission to vent? (no pun intended)

Third night on Cpap, and although i find the mask most uncomfortable, today was a good day with more energy than usual. My wife is very happy with the fact that i am more present both in body and mind and not spending my sundays napping. However, it is like she playing the ostrich and sticking her h...
