Re: Two CPAP questions.

You should probably set you minimum pressure higher than 4cm. I would start with 6cm to 10 or 12 and watch what the average pressure is on the machines display over a week or so. Once you have that average pressure you can set your machine 1cm below and 3 or 4cm above to cover all bases. As others s...

Re: Sore, red bridge of nose....

First thing I would do is stop and let your skin heal. I had a similar problem with my F&P mask and as a result of persistence I now have a permanent mark right on the bridge of my nose. The Mirage Quattro is probably one of the gentler masks and I had no problem with it. I am now using the new quat...

Re: Quattro FX

Still going strong Sudsy. I haven't had a mask this comfortable ever. Have managed 7 nights in a row which is a record for me. So far the only time i haven't slept with it is if I'm not home for the night. No pain, no skin problems. My only complaint which is the same as the regular quattro is the s...

Re: Quattro FX

I used a regular quattro previously and I am the same size in the fx. Small on both. The air does seem to shoot straight out but it is fairly diffused so should be ok. I don't have a partner so no one to complain luckily for me. So far I have slept 6 nights with this mask. It's the only mask i have ...

Re: Quattro FX

I would be interested in whether or not you can keep it from leaking and whether or not it would be painful on your nose at the highest pressure you can stand. I wonder if you would be willing to try it, even without sleeping, at the max just to see whether it leaks badly? The pain on the nose thin...

Auto 8-12cm. Average pressure is 9cm.
Not sure how it would go on a higher pressure. Guess I could try it out if anyone is interested.

Re: SAM-E for depression??

Sam-E did not for me too.

The one thing that did work for me was a therapy call Ego State Therapy. It only took one session under hypnosis and i was off medication and living life again. Some information can be found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ego-state_therapy

Re: Ages?

Was diagnosed in my early 20's......probably around 22. I couldn't afford a good cpap machine back then and didn't want to acknowledge the problem. My early experience with masks and machines scared me off. I'm 31 now and with a few health problems have decided to stop ignoring the problem and have ...

Re: Quattro FX

I got one of these on Friday. Finally living in Australia has its advantages for once. I was using a F&P 432 but having to put tape on my nose every night to stop the skin breaking down was really becoming a nuisance. When I went to buy a new mask (Mirage Quattro) I was told this mask was soon to be...
