i repeat....don't feed the trolls... That's not very nice. I've made a lot of contributions to this site but I have one repeated experience, when I disagree with a particular group of user's way of thinking (the "data collection" group, for instance), I sometimes find little support. I made my opin...

Re: S8 Escape II CPAP Machine
Everyone's path to better sleep is different. I hope to offer a counter point to those that might be tempted to conclude that the data collection route is best. Good luck with your therapy.

Re: S8 Escape II CPAP Machine
$75 is a lot of money Peace of mind knowing for sure that I am getting best therapy possible by reaffirming with all data available instead of wondering and only knowing how many hours I used the machine Priceless Peace of mind for me comes from getting a good night's sleep. I don't need to read da...

Re: Picking up machine/mask this morning

Heart doctor sent me to see the sleep doctor.. I did the overnight test at my house took machine back to doctor, he says I ...

Re: The CPAP MoneyPit = Masks
Man, I just about ready to give up. These masks are killing me. 1) Ultra Mirage Full Face CPAP Mask with Headgear - Medium Standard $140 - worked for about a month, but leaking around the nose, unable to stop, even after cleaning. 2) OptiLife Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask with Headgear $120 ( + $25 premiu...

Re: S8 Escape II CPAP Machine
Well I got my info right from Resmed Clinician Site. THis is the actual wording copied right from their site: Elite II sound levels are stated as this: Noise level Radiated sound pressure is measured at < 24 ± 2 dBA at 10 cm H2O at 1 m according to ISO 17510-1 The Escape II is this Radiated sound p...

Re: S8 Escape II CPAP Machine
Yes the main difference is the data capabilities. The is the Elite II Data capabilities: Data includes: usage, pressure, leak and AHI statistics Via ResScan Data Card: 180 sessions of summary data, five sessions of detailed data Via PC cable: 365 sessions of summary data, five sessions of detailed ...

I would make a conservative estimate of 1 amp per hour. If you use a 115 ah battery until 75% depleted, you'll get 86 hours of sleep. That's 10.75 nights of 8 hour sleep. I'm being conservative of course. You'd probably be able to get 11-12 nights. Of course, everything depends on the battery and th...

I'm not going into the titration error issue. I see your point. Just think my point is good too.DreamStalker wrote:Good point but there is another perspective ... Wouldn't the $150 be worth not having to go back and forth to the doctor or even worse, the sleep lab, until they get your correct pressure tweaked?

I've got a family, camping gear, toys, bikes, etc. One battery is enough! There is the answer, use the bike with a small generator as a stationary bike, and make the kid's ride until the battery is recharged. Jim Gee Jim...he's only six...maybe in a year or two. Actually, I could use the exercise. ...

I have been thinking about replacing my Interstate, flooded cell, type 34 battery with one of the new Sears Marine Platinum batteries. This is for my full size Ford van, while camping. Cold Cranking Amps (CCA at 0 deg.F) 880 Reserve Capacity (RC) 135 min. Amp Hours at 20 Hour Rate 68 My thinking is...

Now there is where you can't see the forrest for the trees, you don't use the generator to power the CPAP, you only use it to recharge the battery. http://www.hondapowerequipment.com/ModelDetail.asp?ModelName=eu1000i "Looking" and owning is two different things. I used to own a EU1000i, great "litt...

I agree that straight cpap may be best but apap gives me the flexibility. Looking at the report, I can probably run auto reigned in from 8 to 10 and do fine but spend most of my time at the lower and more comfortable pressure. I think the APAP run at 8-10 would be a waste of money. You can always c...
