S9 Autoset Smart Card Replacement

Evidently one or both of my inquisitive cats found my S9 Autoset SmartCard and I cannot find it anywhere. I spoke to my DME provider and they do not stock the S9 and will inquire with their dealer, but it sounds dicey at this point. How do I get a new data card? Thanks, Laurie

Re: OT: Anyone try HeathFair bus heart/stroke/blood tests?

My step-mom has utilized the HealthFair bus for her annual wellness check because she is still a few years away from being eligible for Medicare and is only able to afford a high-deductible ($5,000/year) catastrophic insurance plan. From what she describes, HealthFair checks her carotid arteries by ...

Re: Resmed's Central Sleep Apnea Detection - Resmed publication

The problem that I see with this paper is that this is not independent research published in a peer-reviewed journal. This "paper" is proprietary material from Resmed and contains only a handful of referenced citations from other papers. The methodology and conclusions may very well be legitimate, b...

Re: Ugh, so far not good anymore!

JK,

I hope you feel much better soon! Is there anything that your doctor recommends that you can take to help with your nasal congestion? The only thing I can offer is tea and sympathy. Be sure to rest and drink a lot of fluids. Hugs, Laurie

Re: OT Vision in right eye changes from day to day

I know this is off topic, but I have a strange problem where my "prescription" changes in my right eye from day to day and even during the day. sometimes I see better at a distance while looking thru the tops of my bifocals and sometimes distant viewing is clear looking the bottom half. Sometimes e...

Re: My one month battle with the FX is over

My first mask trial was the Swift FX and I gave up on it after a month. I experienced extremely sore nares throughout the night that continued into the day. I believe I tried every suggestion and tip mentioned on this site. I used Lanisol, applied the headgear after the pillows were inflated, put ve...

Re: Just got insurance EBO from BC/BS

I just got the EOB for my CPAP equipment. The DME billed for $800 for my S9 autoset. My insurance discounted that price by $525 and paid them $220 and my co-pay was $55. The DME now owes me money. They told my my co-pay $303.60 and at my appointment to pick up my equipment I paid them $150. They ow...

Re: Anyone Discontinue Antidepressant?

I would like to hear from anyone who used an antidepressant, began xPAP therapy, and then weaned off the medication. Specifically, I’d like to know: At what point did you consider weaning off the medication? How did you arrive at your decision What kind of input did your doc provide? Are you still ...

Re: Very Serious Problem and need help

It's very frightening to experience a crisis especially when away from home and alone. The first thing that comes to mind is paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF). This is an electrical conduction problem in the heart which causes the upper chambers of the heart (atrium) to "jiggle" or fibrillate. Th...

Re: I have hit a wall

I have found CPAP to be a pretty significant life event. Getting diagnosed with a potentially life-threatening condition in which there really is no cure in most cases is scary. I can relate to your difficulties in getting used to CPAP, finally getting the hang of it and then "hitting the wall". Acc...

Re: Robert Dawkins- Tolerate CPAP book?

e-book review - How to Tolerate CPAP Therapy for your Sleep Apnea , by Robert Dawkins, PhD, MPH. I admit I like a bit of drama every once in awhile and cpaptalk.com certainly serves up a nice tasty platter of it from time-to-time. It boggles the mind how discussions concerning CPAP, OSA, flow limita...

Only insulting. And you were. It is always heartwarming to see someone who is so pleased with themselves. How many selves do I have? I see just 1 - the 1 looking in the mirror and by the way it's not good for this old lady to hyperventilate - unless its for a very good reason. Peace brother. Laurie

Re: F4 self-sealing silicone tape a MUST for Climateline!

Well, my burst Climateline hose is completely repaired and fully operational after I spent less than 5 minutes applying the F4 self-sealing silicone "tape". I believe that this tape may be available at Home Depot, however, I purchased mine on Amazon.com for approximately $15.00 including shipping. ...
