Airsense 10 Autoset Dying
Hi All. I have a Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset that has 20,000 hours on it. Its started making some small whining noises. My grandson had lifted it up off of the night stand while the Humi-Chamber was full and it allowed some water to run into the machine. I dried it out as best I could, but still has ...

Re: FDA petition to grant OTC status to CPAP machines
I only have Original Medicare and an Employer Sponsored supplemental plan which has a steadfast rule that they only cover items that Original Medicare covers. They only review and allow claims that have been processed by my Original Medicare Plan. To my knowledge, Original Medicare, Part B, does not...

Re: Sleep Doc Office Can't read SD card ???? The SD card records 7 days of data and all she had to look at primarily was the AHI's and misc data which she could have done with a brief glance. And if you had printed that page out, even briefer. Your statements don't seem like anyone who uses CPAP or...

Re: Good mask replacement for side sleeper who used Mirage Activa LT?
I had used the Mirage Activa or Activa LT for many many years. They were recommended to me on these boards a long time ago, and were great for me as a side sleeper. The new mask I have has a much smaller piece to go around the nose, and when side sleeping, the pillow seems to push it out of place a...

...the Medical Assistant said they could not read my SD card with the Data on it. They didn't have the capability. It's been my observation that physician offices in general have little ability beyond checking compliance (especially if the request for read only went as far as the Medical Assistant,...

And what exactly were your expectations anyway? On a 0ne-hour Initial Visit she has her list of things that need to be covered and if you surprise her with 55,480 hours of data that need to be uploaded to a machine that who's knows where then it's not surprising that a potential response would be "...

Re: FDA petition to grant OTC status to CPAP machines
It was mentioned that Medicare won't pay for a Wheelchair without a Script, and the same would, no doubt, apply to CPAP machines and supplies. As far as I know, Medicare will not pay for anything that is OTC. They require a script in order to reimburse. I believe requiring a Rx for these item probab...

Re: Sleep Doc Office Can't read SD card ????
Thanks for all of the insights on this situation. It "may" make sense they want to protect themselves from introducing viruses into their hospital system or personal laptop too. Then it "May" make sense to bring in the machine so they can insert their own SD card to assure it's truly clean. But why ...

Sleep Doc Office Can't read SD card ????
Hi All. I have just seen a "new" sleep Doc,as my previous one had his license revoked. I's actually been 8 years since I saw a Sleep specialist. When I went for my appointment, the Medical Assistant said they could not read my SD card with the Data on it. They didn't have the capability. I found it ...
