Climateline Hose
Last month my sleep Dr gave me a RX for Climateline Tubing. This I ordered online - it came and I started using it - it uses a ton of water so I need to frequently refill the chamber and I was very dry with it - not sure I like it at all. Also it was waking me up because its very stiff and hits into...

Re: Side sleepers please chime in
I am 2 weeks into using a SleepWeaver now and I love it. Any leaks are easy to manage for me as I just adjust my pillow - my AHI was 1.1 last night. Definitely a lot more comfort than the nasal pillows - and super quiet so that now I can even pull the covers half over my head again and its almost l...

Titrated at 7 - needing much more !!
In my sleep study I was titrated at 7 which is what I started out on in a straight Cpap (PR One System). I felt like I was suffocating along with my other complaints. I was then switched to Auto on the PR One with the full range it allowed. When I finally got to the new machine - the Resmed S9 - the...

Re: Respironics PR System 1 users ??
I just started using this therapy in early Oct 2010. I was given the Respironics PR System One. My biggest complaint was it was so loud - I could not sleep - it was absolutely freaky to me. It breathed in and out like a dragon in my room! I live in an area of perfect silence and I always have - no t...

Re: Help - About to Give Up
I used the Nasal pillow for the first time last nite. It felt much better. I slept almost six hours with the mask. So, I'm optimistic. I did sleep in a separate room and also took an Ambien. I'm hoping I can sleep without the Ambien tonight. I also took a nap break for about an hour this afternoon ...

Re: New and having problems
I love RobySue's idea of using the colors, letting her help with it - and a name she would love - that will involve her too. As more time goes by she will get used to you with this - kids are always leary of anything like this especially when it involves their parent. But DO NOT feel guilty for havi...

Re: Help - About to Give Up
My DME delivered a 3rd Mask today, a Resmed Swift LT Nasal Mask. At my request, he also brought a Swift FX but he recommended the Swift LT because he said the headgear is much better. The DME seems very helpful. Now, I have three masks. A full face mask, a nasal mask, and the nasal pillow. The nasa...

??? Resmed Humidifier S9 - supposed to heat ??
I have the Resmed S9 Autoset and the humidifier. Is the air that passes through the humidifier supposed to be warm or just humidified? I have mine set at 2.5 and I guess its ok...how do you know? But the thing does not heat up if its supposed to (I am not sure) - the bottom of the humidifier chamber...

Re: Poll: Who is your treating physician?
My sleep study was originally ordered by my Neurologist. I am currently being treated by the Pulmonologist who read my study. I see him again in two more months. My PCP gets results and reports.

Very thankful for cpap
This morning my AHI was 1.0 . That is amazing and I slept 7.7 hrs! I am so thankful for cpap as I count my blessings. Even more so I am very thankful for the good people here who have been encouraging and instructive to me. I have worked out a lot of kinks with your help. I actually feel fantastic t...

Re: Down Syndrome and OSA, what to do?
What a tough situation! This mom is clearly overwhelmed, and it isn't easy for adults with full sets of skills to get used to CPAP--it will be a struggle and a half for a kid with Down's and his mom. I think you are going to have to leave this be. You don't walk in those shoes, and you can't imagin...

Lansinoh AND Ayr together ????
Its possible or preferable to use the Ayr and the Lansinoh both together? Sorry for my dense - sleep-deprived brain I did sleep with my Optilife cradle cushion last night to give the nose a rest - it feels much better today and I slept 10.7 hrs - amazing for me! My AHI was not so good though - up to...

Re: S9 and me....making progress
Thanks Emilia, It is called Ayr - it comes in a tube. Where do I get the Lansisoh cream? I am willing to try anything that will help it go easier - do you think Target will have it? I have to go down there tomorrow - or just like Walgreens? - Is it with the nasal stuff? I appreciate your kind respon...

S9 and me....making progress
Well so far its good news, love the S9 for the QUIET ! Its also easier to breath against - not sure why that is. My AHI keeps dropping - last night sleep was 8.9 hrs and AHI was 2.4. Having a few problems with the new mask with pillows - last 2 nights have had a sore nose and I used the cream the RT...
