Why do DMEs dislike Citrus Wipes?
I've been using Citrus wipes to clean my mask daily and do a thorough wash with Johnson's Baby Shampoo once a week. This has been working wonderfully and as per all the good feedback I've read on this site, I have no intentions of changing these habits. I mentioned that I use the wipes to me DME and...

FF, Nasal or Pillow Settings on CPAP Machine
Good day everyone. I have a question about machine settings. I hope I am able to explain it clearly. I am going between a full fase mask and a nasal mask to try and determine which works best for me. I noticed that my machine has a setting for FF Mask, Nasal Mask, Pillows or Ultra Pillow. Do these s...

Air Travel & Snoring
Hi All. I've been some reading the posts regarding using the CPAP machine on planes with battery pack and using a mouth piece. I'll be traveling on vacaction in a couple of months and my to and from flights are both overnighters. I don't see any need to purchase the battery pack for my machine for 2...

Re: cpap in the hospital
I must comment that I read these posts everyday and find them extremely helpful. I don't comment often because I've only been on CPAP since August 2009 and lack the experience to comment on most topics. This one I experienced first hand and I learned from that experience and from reading these posts...

Re: Mind is so busy I can't sleep
Thank you for the suggestions. I have some audio books on my computer and can put one on my iPod tonight to give this a try. It sounds like a good idea and hopefully the sound of the voice will lull me into a quiet mind.

Mind is so busy I can't sleep
Happy New Year everyone! I hope we all enjoy a healthy, prosperous and restful 2011. I've actively read the posts on this site and have learned tons about CPAP and the fact that many of my experiences are shared with others. I haven't seen anything regarding trouble sleeping because your mind is so ...

Re: Is my Leak Rate acceptable?
Thank you for the information Robysue. Very informative to know how to decipher the numbers. In answer to your questions: 1) Were you leaking at a smaller, but still positive leak rate all night long and finding yourself fiddling with the mask off and on all night long? If so, then the leaks are a p...

Good Day all. I've been away for over a week now and am catching up with my reading of all the posts on this forum. I continue learning here day in and day out. I've downloaded the software and downloaded my card to it for data up to the end of Nov. I will be dowloading the month of Dec. shortly and...

Re: Help - About to Give Up
Please know that you are not alone in your struggles. I've had my CPAP machine for approx. 6 weeks now and I have had very mixed reactions to different masks. I feel more tired today than I did before CPAP but I am not giving up. I downloaded the software this weekend so that I can start to learn ab...

Good morning all. Does anyone have the link for the software download? I have some time this weekend to finally spend on this and would like to give it a go to see what my numbers look like.

Software
Hi all. A while back someone pm'd me a link to download the software for my Resmed machine. I saved the link but never had the time to download, install and use it. I have recently had to rebuild my machine and am now having a hard time locating that link. Can someone resend me the link to download ...

Re: How do you know you're getting "good" sleep?
Thank you all for the input. From what I've been reading, "you're mileage may vary" is probably the most fitting saying for what CPAP user's experience. And I'm going to adopt your song, also very fitting. I have the link to the software but have been unable to get it downloaded yet. Next weekend ma...

How do you know you're getting "good" sleep?
I have been on CPAP for about 4 weeks now. I'm also on my 3rd mask so I don't believe that my sleeping habits at this point are a good measure but that having been said, I now have a Comfort Gel Nasal Mask and I am not getting leaks after an entire week of using it. The first 4 nights with this new ...

Question for Nasal Mask Users
Hello again everyone. I last reported that I had gotten and Nasal Pillow Mask (as indicated in my equipment desciption). I had a great 1st week. At the beginning of the 2nd week I started getting leaks which I reported on this forum. I also started experiencing an itchy nose which I sort of wrote of...
