AHI's On Different Machines

I'm sure this has been discussed here before but I could not find it. My question is, does Resmed count the CA's toward the total AHI's as Respironics does? In other words my AHI's on Respironics average 4.0. (3.0 ca, +.3 oa,+ .7 h). Would a Resmed show an average AHI of 1.0 ? I've tried every possi...

Re: Tweaking Numbers

jbn3boys,
I have the same machine that you have and I was just curious, what # do you have the mask resistance set on ?
My mask is an Optilife, which requires X2. The DME had set it at X5 . This kind of messed up my "tweaking".
Good luck on getting yours adjusted.

Re: Should I invest in software?

Using a cpap machine without the software is rather like driving a car with a blindfold on!
Go for it! You won't regret it.

Re: Are these CA's any concern?

JohnB,
Thank you so much for the information and link to a very good article. At the end of the article I checked the footnotes/references
to see if I found your name. It was well written and very informative as all of your posts!
Thank you again,

Are these CA's any concern?

Good afternoon kind cpap talkers, As Columbo said, "Just one more question". From this "Newbie". I've managed to get my AHI's down to an average of 3.5 per night from 7.5, six weeks ago. (30 before cpap). Of that 3.5 average, 2.5 is clear airway indices. (CA). Is that CA number fairly normal or too ...

Re: System One settings

Thank you for posting the Respironics Mask Setting Table. I called a Cpap supplier for the correct setting on an Optilife medium and was told I needed 5X. Now I can see there isn't any such thing ! Will adjust to correct 2X. Anxious to see if it makes any difference. I'm still struggling to get AHI'...

Re: Auto SV, Encore and SpO2 questions

Please excuse one more dumb question from a "newbie" but I'm not sure I totally understood everything stated above.
If the LCD indicates 8 Hours sleep and the AHI indicates 6.0, does that mean AHI of 0.75 or 6.0 per hour?
Thank you again for all the valuable information from very nice people.

Re: Help! Encore Viewer 2 Problem

It seems like I read some where that Encore Viewer 2 would only give 30 days of data at once.
But don't take a newbies word for it but I understand the frustration!
