Re: Have you felt a rebirth since cpap?
Dear All, To say that I am overwhelmed and so grateful to all of you who have shared your stories is an understatement. Again, this community comes through as being so helpful and so generous. For tired people who are still trying to find energy to function in so many cases, it is a real gift to tak...

Re: Travel tips
Hi, You can get 2 ounce thick glass bottles that are not very fragile from any bottle company that sells aromatherapy equipment. You could pack the 8 oz stainless steel in your suitcase, but tuck a two-ounce bottle of water into your cpap bag so you have something to use immediately when you arrive ...

Cleaning SP Climate hose?
Recent discussions on cleaning made me think that I have never cleaned my Climate hose on my S9 since I got it about 40 days ago. I like the idea of adding a couple of drops of benign liquid soap, filling with water, shaking, letting water pour through and then hang to dry. My question is if this pr...

Re: Stick it on your head
What I don't get is this. Why don't they give an option of a longer hose so you can put the thing near you rather than on your head? The need for a battery-powered machine with a long life is apparent; there is one at cpap.com. But, no heated humidifier. Just don't get why they don't offer a hose op...

Re: Be careful buying at cpap.com
Hi, My experience with cpap.com has been excellent. as a newbie, I have called and asked questions before purchases, and have learned much from the reps. I was first sent to Apria, and asked the rep there if he had heard of cpap.com . He said he calls them when he has a fitting or equipment question...

Re: S9 Going from CPAP to APAP mode?
Just to add another perspective, my S9 ranges between 4 and 20 with 95% at 13. I have gone from 101 episodes an hour to under 1 with the machine riding the highs and lows with ease. I am wonder what your numbers are? namaste, MoonBear

Re: No wonder I can't go to sleep
LOL. Your humor is inspiring. You're someone I'd love to have a Martini with-- early in the evening so as not to interfere with the "natural" process of sleep. Becoming who we are instead of being who we were can be quite the trick. Gotta love you can still laugh. cheers, MoonBear

Re: Facial Mask Newbie
Hi, You may find some mask relief by checking out Pad-A-Cheek for cushioning. Adjusting the Quattro happens best when done methodically. What are the stats of your treatment? The leaks are important, but not as important as the Apneas and Hypomeas you are experiencing in treatment. Some leaking is i...

Re: High pressure, do I need CPAP or BiPAP?
Hi, I am at top range of 20 for some period every night on my S9. I range between 4 and 20 with 95% at 13. If I were you, I'd keep going with what you are doing because it is effective. If it ain't broke, why fix it? I would be at peace now, focus on the weight loss (perhaps we can cheer each other ...

Have you felt a rebirth since cpap?
Hi, after my first month on cpap, I have accomplished more than I did in the last year. There has been this sense of being reborn entirely, as if life was starting up brand new all over again. It both amazes and delights me, confuses me (how do you you restructure a life that has been in progress, b...

Great trick, and I bet you will become a superior lab rat
Isn't it ironic that the mask can make us feel like we are suffocating when, in reality, we are actually suffocating when we don't use the mask?
Namaste,

Re: OT: Online Asthma Support Group?
Hi, Before cpap, my asthma was really bad and I, too, looked for a smart group and never found one. My medication was switched from a puffer Qvar to a powder Asminex at the same time I started cpap so I am not sure if my great improvement was due to either or both therapies. I do a lot of research a...
