Re: anyone know of a quick fix?
I use a hosecover. But while I was waiting for it to come, I placed as much of the hose as I can under my blanket, which can act to insulate it just a bit. Give it a try. Its cheap, and it does work somewhat. I'd second the under-blanket technique. I've tried using various hose-covers, all makeshif...

Re: OT: Coffee and tea
Thanks for the link. One of my hobbies is home coffee roasting. I don't drink much coffee, but I have considered whether I should stop for health reasons. Now I have excuses not to. I have cut out my early evening decaf, though. Having started on my pot-a-day habit since high school and now doing h...

Re: card reader??
Thank you. I think I've got a handle on what I'm going to have to do. I do have Boot Camp on my computer. Thank you for your help. For what it's worth, I'd say using the software with Boot Camp is your best bet. Not sure about others' success around here, but I was unable to get my card reader work...

Newbie to Encore Pro card reader software
Thanks to some help from people around here and a night of forum searches, it looks like I've got Encore Pro software working now under Windows 7 with my Respironics M Series Auto CPAP and a Mako DT3500 card reader. I managed to download (and not delete) 3 months' worth of data, and generated a full...

I can see the reason for that gas mask in your avatar picture, now.PranaHuffer wrote:YIKES! Also, it could be attributable, at least in part, to the 80%-solids L.A. air I breathe all day.

I sure did: Went to bed right after work and got close to 12 hours' sleep. Zonked right out and the next thing I knew the alarm was going off.KatieW wrote:That's great! I bet you'll sleep well tonight.

Re: On creating a new dominant story
Hey, this is the internet age -- I don't have the nerve to google it, but I'm sure there's some mask and hose fetish website out there somewhere! Rule 34 : If it exists, there is porn of it. No exceptions. (That link may lead to some NSFW language, for what it's worth. And, if that doesn't stop you...

Re: Respectfully, who runs this board?
I don't suppose anyone around here has considered surgery that directly implants a CPAP port right into their nose and to seal up that mouth to stop leaks... I mean the bias is just plain as day.

Re: How many hours of use are on your machine?
Ok Since you asked, I have a question, too. I have 2714 therapy hours and 2733 blower hours. No one has ever used/owned the machine but me. Over the last year I have watched the disparity between the numbers grow. I don't use it as a leaf blower or to dust my keyboard. From what is the difference? ...

Re: How many hours of use are on your machine?
On this second machine, I'm up to 6193 therapy hours with 6237 blower hours over 866 sessions. Not really sure why the 44 hour difference, unless there's really been that much in terms of cumulative leaks and/or time blowing before I settle the mask on my face. That might make some sense, since ( 44...

Re: Out of state, left mask home
This is a recent post of someone in a situation similar to yours. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t47356/Desperately-seeking-humidifier-tank-for-M-Series-in-Bay-Area.html Hey, I recognize that thread! I'd say the first thing you need is your prescription. If you don't have a copy on hand, the nex...

Re: On creating a new dominant story
I'm a gadget-geek and the APAP machine is like a fun new gadget for me... especially when you find the hidden clinical menu and get the software and card reader. I should probably look into getting the reader. I'm not even sure what data is still on my card, but it would be nice to see if I still h...

Re: Desperately seeking humidifier tank for M Series in Bay Area
I'm in Folsom about 90 miles away and could loan you the adapter that lets you separate your unit and maintain pressure. How can we work this out? I think I *might* be set, if this order from CPAP.com gets to me tomorrow. Thanks for the offer, though. If they fall through, I may come crawling back ...
